SALTGIRLS - Post the salt here

Im salty this game doesnt have X-factor. I mean if the other guy is outplaying me and punishing my mistakes how am I supposed to come back and win???

im salty cause its day 1 (i have xbox) and im dead broke, i have crappy xbox that holds like, no memory, and UMBRELLA ISN’T IN THE GAME

seriously, start getting on with that umbrella

I want to play Valentine but everyone else is playing Valentine so I feel like I shouldn’t play Valentine.

dont be a hipster. Play Valentine cause you want to. theres no shame in it.

PC Release date would be nice.

Nah, bro, this game needs ultra combos. I need to be able to make a cheap comeback and look show-offy about it.

But for* realzies*, The only thing that bugs me is that SG is that matchmaking takes forever every once in a while if I end up being host. also my inability to maintain a combo for longer than, like, 5 hits :U

And @ Dawkings: Dude, Just pick Val. She’s fun and weird to play. (backdash>dash instant overhead is amazing)

salty at myself 'cause I’m only comfortable with Peacock as a character and 1 (wo)man teams seem
But I’ll live. And try the other characters s’more.

Is you xbox port forwarded at your router properly?

Yes she is crazy fun to play, imma main my other desired character (parasoul) and then I’ll have a serious think about adding Valentine or whoever when I know what the hell im doing with the princess.

I miss my training dummy autoblock. :frowning:

Do the special moves have names?

Not only do they, but the normals do, too!

Ah cool, I see the wiki is better than a plain moves list.

I will be happy to support this on the PC platform when it gets there.

Salty because I’m living in Japan, because for the first time ever it’s hard to find competition online when it’s roughly fuck o’clock anywhere that has the game yet. Someone cry me a salty river.

It’s a PS3, and I’m going to say yes. I just assume it has something to do with the way the network pairs people. I have no connection troubles, but when the game makes a room, It’ll make me wait a while before pairing me. (but it only happened a couple of times :stuck_out_tongue: )

Other salt: the fact I have an exam today and can’t play this game.

That is some very nice tutorial ! Covering a lot of basic fundamentals.

I dislike the amount of loading screens, but that’s nothing too bad.
Training dummy with autoblock isn’t that important for me, cause this game has this very nice stun bar.

All in all the game is very solid.
I’m not quite sure if I will like the chaining everything out of anything into special into super game mechanics, which makes the game massive combo heavy (I like the basic footsie play and small combos inkl. links of SF a lot !). To that comes, that the input execution is very easy, just qcf or qcb and any two punch or kick buttons, so you can very easily cancel any attack or special into a super, after that, you can often continue the combo (the enemy can just sit and look and put his stick away or something like this).
But that was something I knew before purchasing the game, so it’s not really a critique, if you like that game system, you will probably love it.

What surprised me is the impossibilty to tech throws while crouching, I had a hard time with teching the throws during the mixup tutorial, I mean I could mash lp+lk like crazy during standing and in blockstun, but I tried to do this on reaction after the grab, and no chance (Playing on a plasma tv with <=16ms input lag).
I would like a bigger techwindow, which allows to really tech on reaction (like in blazblue).
Throws are very powerful in this game, after a throw you can often hit the enemy (which lies on the ground) with a super.
The possibility to hit the on the ground lying opponent is a very nice mechanic in my oppinion and adds a lot of possibilities for combos after knockdown.

All in all I like the game, especially for that price, but I dont know if it has the potential to be my favorite in the future. I’m not a fan of a very big character roster, but I would very much like to see some male characters for DLC in the future.

I despise Bloody Marie especially if I’m playing as solo Parasoul. Unbreakable projectiles and no signaled huge projectiles.

What’s with the reviews by major gaming websites like IGN? They’re acting like the AI on sleepwalk is some sort of force to be reckoned with? Heaven forbid the game teach you how to block.

That’s my only beef so far. Please share some salt.

I also had trouble with the grab teching tutorial, felt impossible to do on reaction, rather I had to anticipate when the bot was going to do it (which I couldn’t do more than once in a row). I resorted to mashing to get past it. In combination with the fact that you can get alot of damage off throws in this game and can’t tech them while crouching, it makes me a bit worried that they are too strong. But of course day 1 is too early by far to tell whether or not that is true.

What actually does make me salty so far is Valentine. It seems like everyone is playing her and they just hold up the whole match, jumping and airdashing at you with that huge ass air normal she has where she swings the meat cleaver in an arc below her, it randomly crosses up, pushblocking does nothing since they are just holding up+forward anyways, and it seems to stuff any and all attempts to anti-air it with its huge hitbox. But again it is just day 1, a week from now I may be able to deal with this kind of spam no problem.

Real talk, I’m salty that nobody else recognizes how godlike this soundtrack is.

Because it’s awesome. Like really awesome.

Played offline today.

Bodied everyone except for this Peacock Parasoul user who won 51 times.

Seriously, team KEEP THAT SHIT OUT kept that shit out.
