Sakura Setups and Safe Jumps

No delay just do it, it’s a very easy setup that work perfectly against akuma ( I didnt care about the other characters too much) he cant do srk tatsu ultra super teleports or get out of it at all i didnt manage do do focus dash but that should work but just react too it

hit the MK early so his back bends forward if he bends in the other way it hits behind (thats what the animation looks like when the unblockable is done perfectly)

If you get a jumpin or like c.mk fadc combo that corner carries akuma is “100% dead” if he does teleport ~os backjump c.mk xx hp.shouoken will stun him and he is dead or he eats the unblockable = dead and calculate the stun and finish him with a instant overhead or something and he will be dead aswell like (unblockable combo xx mp.shouoken uf.hk ~os jump(in the direction you think he can teleport in) nj.hk (instant overhead) ggs

It’s a corner setup with otoshi x2

its a 50/50 for akuma because he can teleport into the corner.
viper can tk feint to escape 100%

godlike vs sakura/gen though

even if akuma teleports into the corner c.mk will reach that worked for me atleast from ~os backjump
And Tk feint is obvious atleast to me >.<

Which version of otoshi are you using for this setup?

Yeah hk hp, only got it to work on sakura so far though.

In case anyone was interested here’s a quick vid of the setup funkie mentioned above. At first I could only do it on Sakura without whiffing, so I made a slight variation where I do whiff the 3rd hit and got it to work on the rest of the characters.

Don’t think there was a 50/50 on adon yet, same for honda.

I got one on adon and one midscreen and corner with mk.shunpu but i want a better one :frowning:

Just won a MM vs. akuma the unblock is soooo legit its sick ^^ got it like 10times or more :stuck_out_tongue: (might not have been unblock, but it hit everytime ) :))))))
and btw the Only way to get out of it is.
If akuma does Ultra 1 he will fly away too far so your jumpback os wont reach him :c ( or 1f block it hf )

Akuma can stand still and it whiffs iirc.

Yo, could somebody help me with the jump back option select. Every time I try it in training mode, the jump back never comes out. I do it like any other option select, maybe it’s my timing?

Maybe. You gotta tap up-back pretty late… when she’s about to touch the ground.

anyone know specific setups to get a perfect meaty tatsu on wakeups? Having trouble timing it manually.

The one after forward throw mentioned in the first post is pretty good, other than that, not sure, I usually manually time it.

What does “perfectly meaty” mean? Hitting on the last possible frame for the most frame advantage? Or just hitting it meaty?

The move has 6 active frames, so it’s not that hard to hit meaty. And hitting on the last frame (I assume on their wakeup) isn’t even that great, because that situation pushes her too far out to link crHP…
