Yeah I started with Geif but Sakura’s just too much fun. I usually play a mix of both at tournies though.
First time poster, long time lurker here (and long time fighting gamer). Sakura’s been my main in pretty much every game she’s appeared in since her debut in Alpha 2, waaaaay back in 1996. So I figured this was an appropriate thread for my first post. :bgrin:
I’m rusty, though… before IV, I haven’t really gotten heavily into any Street Fighter games since Alpha 3. And I haven’t yet gotten deep into IV, though I plan to, and of course I’ll continue using Sakura primarily. I played some back when it was first released for consoles, but real life things kinda got in the way (of my game-playing in general, not just SFIV), and I never had the chance to really tear into it. Now, though, having resolved most of that (including moving to a new apartment recently), I actually have time for gaming again! Just picked up an HRAP3 to replace my old SF 15th Anniversary stick (it has served me well, but it IS a bit bulky and one of the buttons is starting to come loose), and plan to get deep into both SFIV and BlazBlue.
So I may take some beatings as I get used to this thing, and try to get back into a good Street Fighter groove, but I look forward to seeing some of you online. :tup:

Well… I am quite happy to see that lots of you guys main her and stick with her. She sure is hella fun to use. I use a pad still.

Btw… I love the different playing styles of some of you Sakura’s online. Its cool to see everyone learn the same strats but apply them differently.

I need to get some matches in preferably today! i just picked up sakura this morning (i main honda but i like the idea of sakura as secondary)
and i need some sakura mirror match training and tips and whatnot.
And of course i can break out the honda if anyone needs help with that matchup
