Here’s a match with me and another Ryu (Third one in a row after the match above!)

In this match we’re one apiece and it’s the last round; it looks like Im gonna lose but I come back by winning with my Super a few seconds after I pounded him with my ultra.
JIm LOL, i must say its better to be funny than it is to win. I loved how you countered all his stuff with jabs. man it must make people so frustrated to get jabed so much.
wouldnt it be funny if someone did a whole championship match using only the jab button… oh wait…

Lol. im taking advantage of those light jabs. it interrupts most of the moves. I fear those hadokens, dps and random throws; I had to light jab outta those bitches. Im shocked those ryus didnt punish my constant jumping with uppercuts… how’d they get 1000+ battle points by hardly using those moves?! maybe my jabs didnt give them a chance or they just sucked. im thinking it’s the latter. I should have lost.
lol @ the background music in that video. im sure that ken feels like a fool.
Actually, the combo I wrote does as much damage as comboing into HK Danku…but I wanna use this combo to show off the awesome skills of Saikyo-ryuu to the masses :nunchuck:
Oh yeah has anyone managed-
Jumping HK–>St./Cr. HP–>QCF+LPxxFADC forward–>Ultra
aT THE corner at least?
Might need EX Gadouken for the Ultra to land when FADCing, in corner just go for the FA2, much easier and even if you miss-time it you still might land the FA and crumple
Aaaand two new Hibiki-san videos are up. Watch’em or get Saikyo Crushed!

And here are the direct links so you can use a download manager:
It’s actually just as hard in the corner. You have to be a certain range from the opponent to combo regular Gadouken right into Ultra without an EX Focus crumple. It’s best just to spend that extra bar on EX Gadouken, since the damage is better.

I need to start using Dan’s BnB combos
I’m a serious Dan mainer, I try to learn frame data, set ups, gimmicks, everything possible. For awhile I was training and attempting to learn all the match ups, so…

Hoping this is some contribution, I’ve gotten better since then and might post in match up thread if you find it credible from watching. I was planning to find skilled players for every character in the roster, but now I might not even continue with time, work, and Tekken. Any questions/criticism welcomed.

[]Backdash after hk/mk Danku is really good. It lets you set up more throws/jumps/pressure strings without having to worry about most reversals. After you backdash, you can hk danku to get right back in there and really confuse them. I don’t know why it works, but it does.
[]Use close s.mp xx lk danku. Off a crossup, it’s better than a poke string in my opinion. If you have a choice of moves to lead into lk Danku, s.mp is the best option.
[]Lay off the koryus versus Fuerte. That’s what he wants.
[]Follow up lk Danku with EX Koryu in the corner. Best use of Dan’s meter in my opinion.
[*]Besides that, you’re dong pretty well.

Thanks for input, I do backdash, have decent footsie in my game although maybe my videos didn’t show any. Fuerte I learn 2/3 of his mix ups will get me if I koryuken, so either FADC backdash or jump out of his tortilla, but never neutral jump to escape. st. mp is my staple but I will mix up during my pressure such as tick throwing to help get a combo if they try to escape by reversal. I respectfully disagree about meter use though, IMO EX Danku and Gadouken are best use to create set ups and pressure, not extra juggle damage unless they are close to losing.
Besides Legendary Taunt you mean?
In the first match against Chun-Li I noticed you missed an Ultra opportunity off her miss-timed Ultra, thing about Chun’s Ultra on block is the last kick where she does a little flip can’t hit you so after she does the Lightning Legs bits you can buffer the motion and ignore the flippy kick part, gives you more than enough time to sneak an Ultra in
I’m not in your class at all but I agree with this. I brutalize people with EX Danku and Gado.
I got a matchup against Smallfry, a Dhalsim who posts a lot of videos on the internet, so he was kind enough to post our match. I remember a few people here commenting on having troubles against Dhalsim, so hopefully this might help a bit. Of course, he plays a more aggressive Dhalsim than many, so maybe it won’t…

Great match  I have a feeling you were trying to get in a Legendary Taunt xx Shissou Buraiken in the second round (I think) but just used Ultra to go through his one hehe. That Kouryuken xx Hisshou Buraiken at the end must have been a whoopsie
Hey, think he said you were from America. I wouldn’t take that if I was you
It was a mistake, yeah. I just wanted a Koryuken to stop the IAT, but the Super came out as well. Happens to all of us from time to time.
I don’t throw out as many ‘random’ Legendary Taunts as I used to, because now I’m more determined to land them in combos instead. That might be something I need to adjust in the future, because the world does demand Legendary Taunting.
