Well, you shouldn’t say bad habits. Those advices are meant to know all the possible counters of Sagat. Wether u use TU or TK a lot is your own choice. Everyone had his own game, bur for myself I like to change tactics when e.g. Ryu or Rogs that never less jumps and only dashes in. For that I can change my tactics other then jumping Ryu’d or Rogs. That’s why knowing all the counters and moves is essential.
