I did pretty good on mvsc2demon (recently) and did decently at joe r.'s party BEFORE I found 90% of this stuff so … he might be. I’d have to test it out some more before I could tell you but yea I think he could be pretty good.
The runner of combovideos doesn’t do that to make profit he needs that money to even stay afloat. I’m not trying to disrespect you know I think you’re pretty bomb at mvc2 and all that stuff but seriously don’t say that about combovideos it’s a pretty cool site, it’s okay dude you may just not have known.
He closed down already because he couldn’t afford to pay for it and he was paying for it out of his own pocket, it costs alot of money to pay for a server that hosts the ammount his does and he still isn’t even breaking even he’s still losing money just less so now with the ads. I hate ads don’t get me wrong but combovideos is a great site and it’s a great contribution to the community IMO

Since I got quoted, I’ll good-naturedly add:
You put N amount of money out in return for X amount of services. It’s bullshit to say that anybody has to fork out a fixed amount of money to run a web site. If the services are too much, change the services you use - it’s easy enough to talk with your service provider to get the hosting costs down to a reasonable level. This is not rocket science, and every time anybody gets pissy about CV’s pop-up ads, the response is “SHUT UP” or (quote) “fuck you”, which is just stupid. Nobody has ever gotten concrete about what it takes to run CV because that would defuse the argument that pop-ups are “unavoidable”. Pop-up blockers don’t block interstitials or the ad layer on top of the page frame. Don’t try to pawn off like a pop-up blocker would solve the issues with CV - that’s lame. That only addresses one of the six ads you get when you click once on the CV page. :rolleyes: Shadowhaxor has volunteered to host gigs of videos on his site, so I’d suggest pointing people there. 
I agree that CV has general value, but the ads are definitively inarguably annoying (regardless of fiscal merit) and if it’s too much money, he should change the disk space he uses to something that’s maintainable over time. This is important to anybody who cares about CV, since it’s the only way it’s going to sustain itself over time. This is what I’ve said repeatedly, and why I think the current site is a complete cock-up.
Back to Sabes:
Yeah, he actually is pretty good in practice, but has big problems with run-away. If you can work around that (or know that your opponent is going to move forward a couple times during the match), you should be in good shape. HJ likes Sabes/Sent/Tron, I like Sabes/Cable/Tron, and I believe the more ‘traditional’ team is Venom/Sabes/Doom (?). (Both Cable and Venom can nicely exploit Sabe’s Birdie assist.)

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’d rather see lower tiered characters played well then 3rd rate top tiers played everywhere.
If they’re going to crouch, you’re happy because they’re not running towards you. Them giving me a little more time to build meter is something I’m always happy with. And you should be able to chip them a little while they’re pinned down, which is also usually a good thing. It’s not chippy like Doom, but it works and people get thrown off by it.
