Sabin, so what is the JPN scene reaction to console only SSFIV? If there is any? Do you think they’re gonna let SFIV die or keep playing original release?

Japan is SALTY as fuck about no arcade release, as am I. I’ve always been a strong propent of arcade play and the scene since day 1, and to see Ono backpedal on his words is a major disappointment. I remember when he was selling the Vewlix cabinets to Japanese arcades, he said the reason for them buying such a expensive piece of equipment was to “future proof” the arcades and put them on the same footing as consoles (as well as bring in a new era of HD games.) I’m paraphrasing obviously, but I guess that was BS.
I hate playing fighters on consoles.
Always have, always will.
Not that I want Japan to get a unfair competitive advantage like they always have or anything…which is why I was hoping to see a arcade/console release at the same time.

And yeah, no SSFIV in arcades is actually a huge blow to the arcade scene. Not to mention forcing arcades to buy Viewlixxes and two boards per SFIV to even play the original in the first place, damn.

I know wou would’nt know, but I would like to hear your opinion, and be assured that you, as one of the mist prominent sf4 gamers in America, will do what he can to help, if it is possible:P
