Why are we talking about changes to the one character that has no bad matchups? Ryu is perfect as he is. Most of what you guys are suggesting would just move him from A to S teir. Don’t really need another Sagat, do we?

Here’s one, give shoryuken more invincibility. It’s a nerf, actually. Makes it less likely to trade, less likely you’ll get a no meter ultra setup off it. Invincible to the apex though… no way.
Just make it invincible until he leaves the ground so that if it ever does trade, Ryu has to do the backflip-through-the-air reset and doesn’t have time to do anything except maybe shinku hadouken after recovering.
If anything they should get rid of the shit where you can juggle his ultra off of a traded SRK or a higher then usual SRK. Keep the FADC SRK but the other two are retarded. Same with being able to hit his regular super off a jab SRK. I wouldn’t mind if they improved the SRK like sf2forEver said as well.

Anyway my post was wrong anyhow, he already has 6 ways to link his ultra, I forgot he can link it of a jumping mp (i dont use ryu, except casually, so im pretty sure its mp) 
I agree with the fake fireball and the hop kick.
hop kick isn’t all the great. id rather use the solar plexus strike. and a fake hadoken is cool, but not necessary, and lp dp is garbage in this, its priority is just plain shitty, hp srk has the best priority. and if you think about it, if ryu couldn’t land his ultra off a traded dp he wouldn’t be as good as he is then. he is perfectly fine in this game.
Fake Hado would be good, but it seems like it would be too easy to bait players into SRK->EXHADO or ULTRA. It’d be interesting to see how that would play out.

Fake Hado definitely. The FP SRK having more invincibility would be nice. It doesn’t make any sense to me that a fierce anti air move would ever trade with an air move (Sagat’s elbow comes to mind), but part of it is that I just need to learn to hit my SRKs deeper.
Ryu needs nothing. A fake fireball sure. Otherwise needs nothing.
Lame alt costume.
fix the ex-tatsu glitches, that’s all. A fake hado would be overkill, unless they also change the properties of the srk so you can’t ultra off it.

I like the way Ryu is right now. I like the idea of a fake hado. Maybe a Srk Ultra! That would be tight!
the first 3 frames.
fp and mp srks are invincible for 4 frames (3 startup plus the first active - the way the frame data is written, that’s two frames that can hit). lp srk is 2 frames, so your first hitting frame, frame 3, is not invincible

The only things I can ask for are his F + MK hop kick and that side kick from SF3, other than that, I don’t really see any improvements Ryu can have, he’s powerful enough already.
