Ah, thank you.
What combos of Ryu only work on specific characters (Chun-Li, Hugo, etc.)
other than j. fp anyway to link s.fp? for some strange reason i see cl.mp link to s.fp in my head but obviously doesnt work
is it posible to follow-up an ex-joudan with a c.mkxxsrk (or ex-srk)?
I know you can catch them with a c.mk right before they hit the ground, but everytime I try it on a match (and actually hit the c.mk) I have meter and a SA2 comes out (by the way it misses)
I also know that you can follow up the ex-mule kick with a s.lpxxex-srk
and what is the better option for damage and stun?
Anyone know where I can get some Denjin Ryu match vids?
How do you have meter to start up the SAII? A connected c.mk shouldn’t be enough to refill the meter.
Sorry, I thought SAII was the fireball, i forgot which one it was cuz I started to use Hugo alot
i saw ruu did a superjump(?) lk after landing the shinsho, and dashed to the other side when he landed on a chun
You should put this info into the wiki.
i was just about to!
I’m usually a Dejinn player, but I think I’m beginning to see the light on SA I. EX hadoken’s are just too damn good, so quick and the knockdowns are very tasty indeed. They’re a great tool that allows you to get in, which Ryu needs. What are good mixup’s to do with Ryu after you knockdown your opponent?
Okay here’s some random shit.
Not sure how useful this is, but meaty close Forward links to cr. Strong on crouching.
And personally, I believe SA1 to be the best choice. Denjin is fun and when you win with denjin, you win in a big way. But giving up the threat of short short super makes my overall game feel weaker. And as mentioned before ex-fireball is too strong.
Here’s one if you max stocked SA1 in a corner:
cl. LP > LP SRK> early sa1> Juggle with a late SA1> FP SRK
nope.
it’s close s. forward -> c. jab
and it only works vs. characters with wide/fat crouching hitboxes like Alex, Dudley and Ibuki.
how can you have an “early sa1” from a jab Shoryuken? the only way to go into Shinkuu from a Shoryu is to super cancel it. in this case, other characters will get knocked up into the air and not all the hits from Shinkuu are going to connect which will then not all Ryu to recover fast enough to juggle further.
also, there are better alternatives to a fierce Shoryuken ('cuz it won’t connect on all characters) to end the double Shinkuu combo:
- s. roundhouse
- short Tatsu
- short Joudan
Oh snap.
That super cancel actually doesn’t work on all characters. I was just playing around with it; Remy got nipped by it and it went right under Q.
Super canceling from a MP SRK hits Yun witht he entire blast. Giving you plenty of time to juggle it further.
I’ll edit this with more later. At any rate, I can you tell you now that doing this with a MP SRK instead of a LP SRK work on Yun.
You can do meaty close MK, c.MP x hurricane on standing Makoto. On crouching, I don’t think it works on anyone.
c.LP x SRK is like an Xbox Live scrub combo.
I agree but, fuck you.
I’m still fairly new at this game.
Too true. I laugh everytime I see that combo on XBL. Mash that LP!!! Plus that combo he mentioned is a waste of meter. Save some for the EX hadokens man! But at least he admitted he’s new.
Just double checked and meaty (I mean super meaty, the last few hitting frames of the close Forward) close Forward linked to low Strong on crouching Chun, Yun, and Ken. I’ll assume it’ll work on the rest of the cast.
