I have this useful only for charge characters. By buffering the dash it gives you hella time to charge for your follow up.

is there a trick to walk up c.mk xx hadouken? i get a shoryuken out enough of the time that it’s kind of a problem… maybe holding down+back for the cr.mk?

At least letting go of forward\downforward and put a neutral in there. Id recommend neutral , then halfcircle for the fireball. However i mess this up tons as well , so dont read too much into my recommendation …

No, you can’t. If you hit forward twice before you focus, you just dash and don’t focus. You can hit forward, then focus and forward again, or forward and focus and forward and the same time, but you can’t buffer both forward inputs.

For c.mk XX haduken, it’s just about timing. Delay the button press for the haduken a little bit and the shoryuken will stop coming out.

Hard Shoryuken is the only one i would worry about up close, the light one usually comes out fast enough to catch ppl off guard

“You just dash and don’t focus”? How would you dash out of SRK? That doesn’t make sense.
The motion you listed works as well, but I’m telling you, bro: I was doing it in training mode just last night. Try it yourself.

SRK -> dash (quickly) -> tap focus, and you’ll dash after the focus.

does it have any use?
for breaking something or I don t know?
lp shoryu and hp shoryu are usefull, but mp?
do you use it? why?
against what is it bbetter to use Mp shoryu than hp or lp?

^ Mp.SRK is pretty pointless IMO. Lots of medium specials are in this game.

Does anyone know how hitting on counter effects the frames? Supposedly, hitting an opp as a counter gives more hit stun, but I dont know exactly how much.

Ok so someone has to tell me how to do anti-crossup srks so consistently

I see all the top Shoto/Sagat players do it every time… Is there a trick to it? and it’s not like it’s only from wakeup either, I see Daigo/Mago do it in the open pretty consistently as well.

I think it varies depending on the move.
Also, certain counter hits may give special effects. For example, when Ken does a HP SRK -> FADC -> Ultra, he will launch into the full ultra animation only if the HP SRK landed on a counter hit.

I haven’t tried it out yet, so I don’t know what results you’ll get.

Can someone give me advice on how to go from crouching attacks to SRK for a pad player? Is the answer simply “do it really fast” or is there a way that can be done more easily. This is still something I can’t figure out. The only time I get it is when I’m mashing DF and get lucky.

Rice_Eater: yeah just do d,d/f,d,d/f+whatever punch, basically there are four ways to do SRK you can do f d f+punch you can do this to kinda walk by doing f d f, and when you see em jump or whiff something you wanna srk then press punch. Another the top one, where you just kinda wiggle your thumb to go from d to d/f to d to d/f again. And theres the real notation f,d,d/f+punch… and that one in the vid yflow posted just learned that one now…

What is the best damaging non-ex combo you can do after a Focus Attack or just to punish, using Solar Plexis Strike.

So far I’ve got:
Solar Plexis, Cr.Lp, Cr.Hp, Hp.Shoryuken

I’m afraid you’ve pretty much hit the nail on the head with that one- I believe it is the most damaging without EX, and a Super after that would be so scaled as to be a waste.

Check out Mickey D’s blog for numbers- he did some really good analysis of all Ryu’s main options.

It’s the one you described, but without the lp between f.fp and c.fp.
