Ryu is the second best character in the game, and he has the most ways to land ultra…i can’t c any way to make him better than he already is…come on guys be real, he doesn’t need anything…he has an answer for everything and when he has super his ability to punish any mistake becomes ridiculous…he doesn’t need a tone up…there are other characters that need one more than he does.

yeah, ryu does have a way to take the advantage of almost every single character. it just depends on your cognitivity. I see no problem with ryu. if more mover are added to him it’ll be okay because EVERYONE is getting tweaked, not just him.

As a Ryu player, I wouldn’t mind if they removed the shoryu trade into ultra. That feels cheap to me. Ofcourse I want Sagat to lose the trade to ultra too. Wishful thinking

no, it should stay, but needs to be tweaked. Moves that knockdown (ie Bisons ExHS) should still knock Ryu down
Dude, I think I’ve told you this many times already. On srk trade, exHS already knocks down. Nothing to fix there.
The only upgrade I would truly like to see in Ryu, is what so many have already stated before in upgrading the FP shoryuken’s first couple of frames to include invulnerability. IMO, the Alpha series titles had some of the best versions. Of course, I do wish we could go back to the days of SF2-style SRK invulnerabilty, however, it seems that it was dumbed down to begin with because of the incessant whining from all the "little girls"out there griping about being knocked on their asses.
It’s “O.K.” of course, to give Sagat some of the cheesiest juggle/ultra combos in the game or to give Zangief the abilty to spam his lariat all damn day after knock-down…
The only other feature that would make Ryu’s game all the better, IMO, would be to be able to customize the control sensitivity to not allow for such easy or so-called “improved” motions in pulling off techniques. I cannot recall how many times, I miss a technique or combo because of the new control scheme that allows for even the newbi-est of noobs to pick up the game as if they had been playing it for years. The control motion is thee motion. No need to dumb it down for the dumb.
Ryu is pretty much perfect. The only nerf I would consider fair for Ryu is if his fireballs build slightly less meter.
Ryus new ulra should have ken jump in next to him them they both do a metsu hadoken side by side then ryu says ‘ive always loved you ken’ they make out on the floor
