You sure about that? Akuma hits 3 times with his uppercut and your able to focus out any time on any hit. As for the teleport, why not, the 2 fast characters, well more like 1 fast character is just plain terrible now and one of my main reason why I still chose that character even though it was already gimmicked in a bad way was because many people like to turtle and the arena is quite large… too large for that matter. But even then that character is getting even worse so go figure.

Buktooth mentioned that you will only get the first hit of the SRK and not the whole thing when juggled. I don’t know if both the strong and fierce will work though but I hope both do as I’m guessing the strong SRK will do less damage on the first hit because it only does 130 damage total. If the partial damage is 50 just like his fierce then that’s only 80 on the first hit of the strong SRK. But either way, at least it’s free damage now compared to having to waste meter after a juggle opportunity.

Since ryu’s hp.srk is now 2 hits for 100, 50 dmg each; and you fadc off the first hit to fadc > ultra1, that means like from sf4, ssf4 Ryus can mash reversal dp and still safely launch opponent’s into the air with the 1st hit unlike poorly spaced mp/hp.srk’s from akuma and ken?
If that’s the case…Gosu Ryu lost only dmg and trading ability

Medium uppercut - cancel - Heavy uppercut for both hits then? Or medium, I forgot how much damage it has but 2 mediums in a row? With just his SRK move, wondering if he is able to break 200 or get near it.

Not bigger then SF4 but SF4 was already very big, not sure how its going to change seeing how characters are supposedly moving faster now but that is still pretty long.
Markman(works for Mad Catz, the arcade stick guy) just confirmed what most Ryu players were hoping for, which is a good way to combo into Metsu Shoryuken.

Yeah I know some or most of you won’t believe it till you see it, but I trust Markman.
It’s already been said that this is one of the most if not the most damaging Ultra in the game. Akuma and Gief’s Utlra 1 tied with Blanka’s Ultra for the most damaging Ultras in Vanilla, both are said to do 510 damage now. With that in mind, I think that’s how much Ryu’s Metsu Shoryuken will do as well. If damage scaling is the same then cr. MK, hado, FADC, Ultra 2(maxed) will do 497 damage. Although you can do something like F+HP, cr. HP, hado, FADC, Ultra 2 for 582 damage. None of that info is confirmed though, I’m just speculating for fun.
But anyways, with one good way to combo into Metsu SRK, I’m curious to see which Ultra top Ryu players like Daigo, Valle, or Poongko will pick, or pick most often.
Well that must mean for sure that Ken should be able to do c.MK FADC into Ultra 2 if Ryu can do the same thing into an Ultra that people assumed he’d have no good setups for.
