yeah the runaways x young avengers crossovers were all really good… i’m just waiting on a new marvel universe crisis to bring em back together… best crossover pairup imo was Nico making remarks on Patriot… seems like the goth girl had a jungle fever thing going for a while…
It probably won’t happen because she won’t age that far, but it seems like a lot of writers are aiming Nico toward being the ranks of Tony Stark, She-Hulk, Wolverine and Clint Barton in Marvel heroes that hook up with various teammates, villains and named characters even just orbiting their books.
I hope the new female writer curbs that.

so, what’s the point of bringing Gert back if Old Lace is dead?, just to hook up with Chase again?, I mean Gert’s whole thing was controlling the dinosaur. I hate superheroes who lose their powers, they always become bitches. Just look at Eddie/Kid Devil in Teen Titans. Total mopey bitch. All he can talk about is not having powers anymore. It’s like when you lose your fucking power, you also lose your fucking personality.

i jsut finished part 1 of homeschooled… how on earth are they gonna kill off the only recurring dinosaur character marvel has?!?.. it kinda pissed me off… but atleast Molly is safe… i been waiting for Klara to lose it… and for Nico the get her top torn to shreds (can’t believe it took this long…)… but i skipped an issue between now and Chase not making pancakes for Klara and Mol… somebody fill me in without spoiling the next part of homeskooled… man i hope the one that lives again is Alex… but that is incredibly unlikely…
I dunno, the first ish of the arc was good (despite our loss), but the second one jumps right back into the angsty bickering and bullshit that has mired this third series so far.
Yeah, I get part of what made the Runaways a success early on was the internal drama, but you can’t sustain a core cast of characters on that for very long. It might be time for the team to get either an arch villain(s) to contend with or a legit direction other then just being kids on their own.
I’m really hoping something happens, because I’m getting sick of the fucking drama, waiting for something to happen.
this book used to be SO good, now it’s not. I want a return to greatness.
heh… this past weekend was Gencon is my neck of the woods… so we had a nice crowd of cosplayers roaming around downtown… i was hanging around the mall and happened to see a dude with a ironed out afro (kinda like mine) and glasses, a petite asian girl in black, and a younger girl sporting a backpack and a hat with animal ears… when i asked them if there were the runaways the dude said yeah and i said that’s cool… but then the little girl piped up smarting off about how she was princess powerful and not a runaway… it made me laugh

I’m just hoping shit starts to pick up. The arc started strong, and I was hoping we’d get the story back on track, but it’s devolved into more bickering.
The reason the early series’ were so good was because it was a good balance between drama and action. most of this arc has been all drama.
Only 1 issue left and then…well…you know.
this is getting crazy… i’ve been eye balls deep in debt for the past couple months and i haven’t been able to catch up the runaways… i’m making it my goal to do so soon… all the spoiler covers are so tempting…
in other news… waddya think of disney’s hostile takeover… do you think it’ll effect the runaways in particular?.. i dunno… i hope not… but i bet they freeze stan lee with walt… here’s hoping some amrvel faces show up in Kingdom Hearts III…
I love Molly and the gang, but it going on Hiatus might be what it really needs.
yeah, we’ve seen it happen before, and I hate going without my fix, but it happened at a good time, as I need to cut back on titles, at least until I find another job.
