Is anyone else confused as to why the most recent ESRB notifications on official videos say “Alcohol Reference”?

ESRB ratings are not allowed to be so presumptuous, Capcom must specify exactly what the liquid is, in this case, it’s water, and only there for pseudo-symbolism.
There is no Alcohol reference in that.
My guess is that the PS3 and 360 versions are being rated under the PS Vita version, since it’s going to have Lei.
This isn’t really news, but I guess you missed it. The ESRB report a while back hinted at Alisa and Lei by saying that certain characters used drunken fighting moves and chainsaws to attack, and that there were win quotes like being drunk isn’t a good way to fight or something like that.
That’s made people speculate that these elements were on the disc or at least were shown to the ESRB as possible DLC.
Alisa and Lei have already been confirmed on Unity as PS Vita characters, and as probable DLC for the console versions.
As the ESRB does not rate DLC, I’m assuming they are rating all versions under the PS Vita version’s content.
Wouldnt it be a bit too early to rate the VITA version of the game?
If all versions are being put under the same rating with the same content warnings, then no.
It’s been mentioned before, but the ESRB also rates disc locked content.

ESRB rates everything on the disc, including disc-locked content. Not such a stretch that we’re going to have to pay for a 100kb unlocker to play near-completed characters a month or two down the line.
Yeah with you on that. Q would fit in well with the story and it’s kinda weird how capcom did’nt see that, or did they? Would be the coolest hidden unlockable character.

Alisa would be so sick in this game. I’m so hype for this shit, I really want my Cody/Alisa team. Fuck I feel like a 12 year old right now wtf? I’ve seriously never been this hype since I was a kid getting alpha 3 on my playstation. Well actually I was pretty excited later on when I got an import cvs2 for dreamcast from my cousin who had opened a japanese toy store in socal.
