Wow. Ok, fuck Ono (again). They had better at least let us purchase all these characters as DLC. Fucking DLC, worst gaming trend EVER!

Situation isn’t as bad as it seems. It depends on how much the DLC costs, if it has a price at all. I doubt it’s going to be free, so I’m assuming each a pack to include 2-4 characters each priced around $3-5. It’s definitely a better deal than buying another disc though, unless Capcom decides to make more DLC characters.

Capcom needs to tread VERY carefully here. This could very well sabotage the main game.
The casual crowd could easily say “screw it” and flat out not pick up the main game in expectation of some sort of upgrade down the line.
On the plus side though, this basically puts any remaining cast list doubts to rest.
EDIT: On the lol side, if you have an xbox you are now missing out on 16 characters if you buy just the flat basic disc. Basically the equivalent of the super turbo roster.
A common misconception is that a release with low sales is a financial loss. So while these characters are certainly going to be DLC, Capcom can still release a limited run of Super SFxT and still be profitable.
However Super SFxT just sounds bad. Here are my suggestions:
- SFxT: Second Impact
- SFxT: Iron Salt Tournament
- SFxT: GOTY Edition
- SFxT: Final Salt
- SFxT: Salt Ressurection

I think DLC has been around a little too long to be called a trend. It’s a standard now baby. From what I’ve heard, Capcom knows after the shitty UMVC3 sales that selling updates on discs is not the way to go. I’m guessing everything is coming in on DLC. As for people who keep talking about the `12 new characters being sony consoles exclusives? Get bent, you know they aren’t stop being stupid.
