So… you just thought you’d describe a picture we all just looked at? We’ve known Lili was in it since the first cinematic trailer. Her teaser came out yesterday.
I know most people know she was in the trailer and the teaser. Can’t i describe the pic without being questioned?
You know this game actually might have a half assed story mode (as opposed to none for SFIV) where they explain why the teams are fighting, so while a lot of teams make sense (ryu + ken) they might explain why some of the ones that don’t… have been formed. Fuck half the “canon” reasons for a lot of these teams as well as “proposed” teams are from half ass story moments, so why not let them make some here.
They both use weapons and jump around a lot? Guy gave Rolento a scar on his face with a kunai, and Ibuki throws them in-game? [S]Ibuki is looking for boys in SSF4 and Rolento has a giant staff?[/S] I don’t know, I’d say that Vega would probably make a better partner for either one of them, but it looks like he’s not in the game.
It looks like they are doing a mix of traditional teams and new pairs. Some people will make new allies and enemies during the story, that much is pretty apparent so far.
Idk man, wouldn’t get our hopes up. Seth mentioned in a recent interview (Uh forgot which one, if needed ill look it up) that they are just doing the traditional story mode (so what they’ve been doing in SF4 etc). But a few minutes after he said he didn’t open the story file yet but that probably just has the script of certain lines characters say during a fight or w/e.
We’ll have to wait for Namco’s version for the complete package and awesome fanservice unfortunately it sounds like. If only CC games had everything every recent fighter has in terms of content… :[…they make my fav. fighters too. BUT who knows, maybe they will at least explain somehow what the teams mean.
Don’t worry about me. I wouldn’t spoil the whole game even if I knew everything. That’s not fun for the fans and it’s not fair for the people making the game. But I do think there is a line between teasing and trolling. Thats all.
Well, this “weird” team can be considered as such, because (story wise) Rolento and Ibuki never met each other (not that I know off), nor have a relationship. Makoto, Elena or Sakura would be a better tag partner, since Rolento implies his buddy Sodom basically. But then again, if they tag Julia and Bob together, the Ibuki/Rolento team ain’t abnormal.
And like Westlo said, the game can open new story lines between the characters. So in a way, pairing up characters with no links can work out nicely.

Indeed. Kinda funny though, because Ibuki is looking for some hot guys, and what does she do? Pick Rolento! He probably abandoned his military utopia idea too just for her… Lol.

But who the hell is Ingrid?
She is a pretty obscure but neat character. She does not have much of a story because she hasn’t been playable in any real canon stuff.
This would definitely be some grade A trolling.
Ingrid is some random character that was added to Alpha max with some odd story containing rose and bison.
She was originally designed for Capcom Fighting Evolution, but was added in one of the later Alpha 3 updates as essentially a Mary Sue (I honestly think she’s a take that to KOF’s Athena).
