I’ll release a patch tomorrow (hopefully) to fix these issues as well as the glitch you reported earlier. Thanks again!
Those shifting characters are pretty hardcore. I’m sure you noticed already, but you’ve really got to focus on everything that’s going on to win. Certainly good to know that someone’s giving them some attention though!
Taeko is waaay fun!
There sure are dummy settings. Press your “Pause Break” key to access it. What you’re looking for is the “Button Jam” option. Set it to “C” or something.
Nope. He sure isn’t Roy and Oliver have broken AI at the moment. I’m working to fix them
You’ll first need to press “Ctrl+D” during a fight to access debug mode. Then simply press “Ctrl+1” or “Ctrl+2” to activate player 1 or 2’s AI.
Yeeah I’m aware of this too. I never really intended for those modes to be used so I didn’t really develop for them. I certainly should do it though. Maybe next patch.
Actually, 11th palettes are just me making something strange. Their similarities are merely a sign that I ran out of ideas. I will say this though; have a look at the character select screen. The characters down columns 2 and 3 are partners/friends/associates/etc. For example, Sofie and Roy are best friends that grew up next door to each other. The characters in columns 1 and 4 are severe rivals to their opposites. For example; Nadia and Charlotte absolutely hate each other.
Yeah it means you’ve got a pretty good grasp on the game; though if you can beat Taeko’s AI on a regular basis, you’ve got some skill. Generally, the AI wont do any advanced tactics on you; they’ll just try to catch you off guard.
No she doesn’t. The AI just has extremely good mix-up skills and knows a block string that will obliterate your guard meter if you manage to block the entire onslaught.
Found a Roy infinite.
Send foe into corner in any possible way. Then:-
Launcher, A or B, C.
Jump, A or B, C.
Repeat step 2 until time is over.
This is a deadly infinite to fix because patching it out might risk Roy’s damage potential. Take care.
Yep. Thats a problem. I’ll probably just make it so you can only use it 2 or 3 times per combo.
Ok so, I’m still waiting for the voice actor for Maya which is delaying the release. If nothing is done by Thursday, I’ll just release her with no voice pack.
Alright so you may have noticed that I did not release Maya on Thursday as I said I would. I’ve decided to just release the Maya and the new character (Endora) at the same time later this month. It was brought up to me by a few of my associates that releasing an incomplete character wouldn’t be such a great idea. I have to agree. Delaying the release will give me plenty of time to get voices and other necessary stuff done in time. My apologies to you all.
On another note, check http://www.twitch.tv/liero116 over the coming days to check out streams of me working if youre interested.
Speaking of streams; due to scheduling conflicts, we haven’t been able to stream the past few weeks. We’re currently working out a new day to stream (hopefully Saturday). I’ll keep you all posted on the details.
That is the last character that will be released for the MUGEN version of Rumble Pack. I still have 2 more to announce, but this one is significant as it is designed by my associate rather than me. It’s sort of a guest character.
Hello i played the game and it was a lot of fun i like the characters and the three styles.
I also discoverd a few infinits with roy but you already know that and with decimal tsukiko to do the infinit with tsukiko first do the a+x and then back a+x repeat x 1000000000 it does almost no damage but you can do it until the timer runs out.
Theres also a bug when i pick zppr hex style i cant use any of is move when i pres start the screen freezes black and it gets all glitchy.
Also i had a question some characters dont have all the 3 styles like yoko only hex, taeko only hex, tsukio only decimal and binary and oliver only decimal an binary.
Do those characters also get the other styles.
And btw i dont know if its necessary but i doawnloaded the latest version.
Welcome to Rumble Pack and thanks for that Tsukiko infinite. Sometimes I miss the obvious ones.
Right now, now everyone has all 3 fighting styles. It’s something I’m working on, but it’s going to take a bit for me to finish everything. Luckily, I am in the final week of my final semester of college so things are going to pick up real soon. I’ve also got 1 new character done and awaiting release as well as 3 others in progress. The final goal for this is to have 16 characters with 3 fighting style each before I totally “abandon” it to work on the Unity port.
Thank you for your reply but do you know whats wrong with the zppr hex bug.
Also when using sofy binary the ex rekka passes through and you go to the other side and if you pick sofie hex and pres start then theres nothing written in style specials.
Heya dizzzzzy, I happen to know what’s going on there with Zppr. Zppr’s hex style is not yet implemented in-game, though it allows you to select it. The style-lock for it isn’t active by mistake, so when you pick it, you’re picking sort of an empty-Zppr. Expect a hex Zppr, as well as other MIA styles, in future releases. I hope that helps!
