Rufus, a joke on Americans

Do you just believe everything you hear/see or base your facts off of assumptions and inferences?

He has a bunch of daughters and a hot wife

Also wether you mean it or not, you’re being insulting to homosexuals, though i’m not one myself I do know how to respect people’s life choices.

And Turkey doesn’t have it the worst in the game where damn near every fucking character is a stereotype of some sort.

Balrog, an African American that is selfish, conniving, and extremely violent is a worse representation of a culture than some goofy oil wrestler.

Then you have El Fuerte who is a loud, short, mexican food cooking luchadore.

That said it doesn’t matter because this a video game about beating people up and everyone is equally stereotyped just about.

This thread and some of the statements I’ve heard in it have offended me far more than Street Fighter ever has. Lock this stupid shit before it actually becomes a problem.

Bro

You’re called AnnelFrank

Yup. My name is, um, interesting. Anyways, I usually see things like this devolve pretty quickly and somebody accidentally offends somebody else and then blah blah blah. There’s already been a few questionable things said and it can only go down from here v.v

The strongest men in the world are always fat. :coffee:

My mistake…the picture by Pterodactyl proves it, the oil wrestler has done very well for himself.

Balrog is an imitation of Mike Tyson. When you imitate a specific person, especially such a well known one, the only possible insult is to the person being imitated not an entire race. Also…I didn’t mean offense to any homosexuals, nothing wrong with it and it is not by business anyhow.

Those individuals are mountains of muscle not fat. Rufus would be lucky to be able to bench half his body weight and I doubt even that looking at his body composition.

They also have fat, and a lot of it. There is no reason for these men to cut down on their calories like body builders, because they aren’t lifting for a good physique. Therefore many elite-level powerlifters, and strongmen have a lot of body fat. Just look at the belly of the dude deadlifting over 1/2 ton of weight.

True they have fat…cause they are going for overall strength/power. However they build their muscle to the max, and if you stripped away the fat their would be a huge frame with powerful massive muscles. Rufus is not a comparison to that (and most obese Americans are not either). Rufus is just a blob of fat…looks like a guy who eats 10,000 calories a day and spends all day on the couch and laying down.

Still waiting on T.Hawk’s Casino Owner alternate costume.

Rufus is a real person

this is really a topic? Rufus is a joke on fatass Americans and he’s awesome at the same time. I love Rufus he a great comedic char that is actually legit [aka strong] and really if you gonna get butt hurt how do you you think half the minorities feel from the whole world. as an African i could bitch about the only char we get being Elena, with her neck rings, or balrog being a the money hungry black man, or dee jay being the token stoner from Jamaica. Its a fucking game lol. And i know that someone is gonna say “take it easy” and i agree but jesus are people really complaining about this shit?

I hope the op is trollin but either way ya never know now a-days.

TLDR: im glad we have a fat char that has more jiggle physics than most of the sf4 chicks. its funny and i love it haha

  1. Balrog is Mike Tyson remember?

  2. Dee Jay is the stoner stereotype true, but it is a cool stereotype unlike the lazy fatass one.

  3. Elena is a lithe african women with the coipera (dance/martial art) style

Also all of the above 3 look like they could actually fight. Rufus…just sweep or trip him, and it would be 'I’ve fallen and I can’t get up."

In the original SF2, Guile, Ken, and Ryu all have the same attributes with respect to speed, defense, power, and nimbleness: 3 out of 5 in all categories. The only difference is that Guile is a charge character. Capcom did this on purpose because they didn’t think Americans would be able to do the dragon motion. That’s why Guile is just hold back, and he’s an American hero. Rufus is just an extension of the joke on Americans, and to a lesser extent American players. Rufus can EX messiah out of tough situations, combo into Ultra easily, and sit on his ass and anti air.
