So I played with some live stream earlier today…
Problems-
Used a mixer/capture card to live stream video and try to add in commentary. The sound was distorted too much to hear the MIC. When the mixer was unplugged, the sound was better but still kinda distorted.
We played with the mixer settings a bit such as lowering the master volume and the MIC volume also the TV volume but it didnt make anything better.
If anybody can suggest any other methods of live stream with commentary, I’m all ears…
Besides trying to use the MIC…LIVE STREAM WORKS!!!..stay tuned
Plugging through a preamp can help reduce distortion along with obtaining some studio editing programs such as Native Instruments and Sonar. Basically, the more hardware/software items you have running as an intermediary between the input object and the actual software output will create less and less distortion. Also, check whether one is using digital or midi inputs as mediaries (digital is better) along with the quality of the microphone/jacks.
alex: good shit last night. only problem, was at random times thru the stream, we would be re-buffering the video, constantly and the video would be shown at 5 times the normal speed. it was really odd. dunno if fmj ever figured out why it did that. but when it was normal, shit was dope

also, I have always been about hearing commentary about a match, it is interesting to hear that from everyone who plays…much props…
i think i saw an mvc2 vid one time with commentary, not sure from who, mayb jwong, dont remember but you learn a lot from videos like that…
also, something like answering a question about a certain match up would be cool…like “what is your take on the chun vs ken (3s) match up”, then give your take on the match up and a strategy that you use to control that match with whatever character, AND THEN show a video of the strategy in action and it working…that would be dope…
