As a side note, for those of you newer players who want an indication of how well you’re playing, gauge it by how fast you’re spending money to play. It’s flawed, yes, but it’s interesting to note how much you may actually spend when you play. Use it as motivation to get better, since getting better leads to winning more, which means staying on the machine longer, which means you spend less money. It all comes full circle.

Hello everyone, I’m right down the road from Round 1/Puente Hills Mall until July 17th, I came all the way from Houston. I’ve been going up there almost every day and played some really good players, but I’ve also been having to play the CPU quite a bit. 
I’ve gone in the evenings and during the afternoons on weekends and weekdays, but still don’t find many people that actually are determined to stay on and practice. Once they lose a few times they’re gone which is a bit disappointing. If anyone needs experience in the Guy/Sakura matchup let me know and we can schedule a time to get down there and play some matches.
Not sure who it was, but props to the Zangief that I played a few days ago with my Guy/Sakura. Once I got knocked down I didn’t know wtf to do haha, that was definitely good. And ggs to everyone else I’ve played as well.
One more thing, and it’s actually a complaint(wall of text incoming). 
I know one of the staff members posts here, and I just wanted to point out that I prefer to play on the smaller square seats as opposed to the taller circular ones. I always grab the square seat but one day(the day that I played the lovely Gief) a red-headed staff member with glasses gave me trouble for like five minutes telling me he wanted to take my chair and that I need to use the taller one because these small ones belong to the cabinets along the back row. He was talking to me during my matches and everything, so that was pretty damn annoying. Add in the fact that I mentioned that there are PLENTY of seats along that back row and that there is hardly ANYONE on those, even if there are it’s not like the whole back row is filled, and he still tells me to switch seats because if people come in he wants them to feel “welcomed”? LOL. I prefer my wrist to rest on the cabinet, I don’t want my wrist hanging in the air because I’m too tall for the taller seats, I mean come on. Even the tekken cabs get the smaller square seats and they’re only a few inches smaller than the AE cabs at most LOL. Oh well, that was only one day and it hasn’t happened again(though I haven’t seen him since then either).
Regardless of that, I love Round 1 even if I can’t play people in AE all the time; there’s still plenty to do there. I love those Technika 2 machines and Drumman ftw haha.
