I haven’t been to an arcade since I was young, but I went to Round One last night to try out SSF4 AE and I loved it! The staff was very nice and responsive, and it was nice to meet new people and learn more about the game. I was the guy wearing the “ZERO” Smashing Pumpkins T-shirt with glasses if anyone played with me last night. I was playing Yun mostly.
Will definitely be going back!

-How do the IC Cards work for Technika? Do they sell them there?
-DDRX2 still sucks.
-Pump Fiesta EX is in a new TX cabinet, pads are maybe better than Fiesta, but not as sensitive as Pro 2.
-Technika 2 cards are available for $7. You buy one, put it in machine, and it will save your scores and song unlocks. At djmaxcrew.com, you can buy more songs and such with your MAX POINTS (what you earn when you play the game), once you register an email address to your card’s serial number.
For those unaware, if you have a djmaxcrew.com account linked to your game card, but it gets stolen, you can transfer your save data out of your lost card into a new card. Which is why fucking petty thieves should stop stealing Technika 2 cards from the machine, because it only hurts Round1’s revenue (cuz anyone who’s grinding isn’t going to put more credits in the machine now that they can’t save their progress) and piss off the gamer who can’t play locked songs anymore.

TX Cabinet and TX Pads? How about Pro? I’m not terribly interested in Pro2 and I’m prolly going to spend most of my time with AE and Technika since I’ve played some Fiesta EX already. It’s terrible to hear that X2 is still ass. The closest X2 to me is about 8 hours away and of course when we got there, the audio was all the way low and they had club music blasting in the arcade. Oh yeah, it was a brand new cabinet and like 3 panels were getting stuck.
Are the Technika cards always in stock? Can I get there in 3 weeks without having to worry about getting one or not? Also, my friends asking if you guys have a Sirius or Resort Anthem machine anywhere.

All the Pump machines at Round1 have bracketless pads. Pro 2 should never give anyone trouble holding freezes, which is why I say it’s more sensitive - the Fiesta pads and Fiesta EX’s left side are notorious for dropping freezes -> game over. Fiesta EX’s right side was pretty okay last week.
I have no idea how many people are buying cards at Round1, they only got them in 2 weeks ago.

But seriously with the lack of variety and price raises on the catchers I don’t bother to come here anymore with or without the gf. No IIDX or anything to play when I don’t feel like playing SSFIVAE, then they took out Hyper Street Fighter 2 to top it off.
I’m fast approaching the end of spring semester which means I will no longer be able to go to Round1 or bitch about what happens at Round1!
I’ve dealt with crap of some kind or other for 3-6 months now, I could use a break.

Round 1 has an number of games in awaiting shipment, but Round1 Japan has taken some damage in many of the stores and they have started repairs and so forth, again I’m sorry for the delay. I will be putting back hyper back in soon…!
