That was me, GammaCharge1977. IMO you were being too passive during our matches. It felt like you were letting me dictate the pace. Maybe try throwing more too. I think you rarely tried throwing during our matches. I’ve been trying to work on the matchup since it used to feel like one I didn’t know how to play well.

Anyway, new to the site and I would love to get some training with my Rose. I used Cammy before and switched to Rose just about some days ago so I need a lot of polishing 
And because Im from Sweden I’ll be on at odd times, but Im playing during the night also so it might not be a problem.
Word…I have problems with the rush down Rose. I play way too def./turtle with her and try to just poke-counter when an opening shows up. The practice works okay at times, but others I need to press the attack. I do throw, but more so as a quick ‘punish’ as opposed to an attack ( I hate the whole Two button throw system, I want ST style…).

I was thinking the same thing when we played last. You need to be a little more aggressive. You have solid execution when you do press the attack but it’s too little to late when you do. Don’t be afraid of throws, hell my Rose throws so much she would embarrass some Zangief players out there…lol. I have mind games set up around getting my throws in :bgrin: But when you have the momentum Rose definitely needs to roll with it. Keep the heat on, don’t let up and make your opponent sweat. Make them figure out a way to you off of them, don’t just willingly let them reset.
I never played Saqs yet as I said before, I am so eager to play him.
I’ll add you whenever I get a chance. I’ve been training some relatively new blood to SF for several weeks so I haven’t been online much…

Well you asked me to give some pointers to you from our match and this is what I saw. You are getting caught in a frame trap off my slide and this is how: When I slide at you and only the tip of my foot hits you, on block or hit I have frame advantage. If you do pretty much anything over than Super/Ultra I’m going to win the exchange. I noticed you were quick to try and throw a c.mp to try and punish me so I used that against you by trying to set up traps to catch you. That’s how I would slide in, you’d block the tip and then try for a c.mp but get stuffed by a c.lp, .c.lk, c.mp, spiral combo.
Another thing you’d like to do was zone with FB’s and a “keep away” standing hk. While somewhat effective it was back peddling you into the corner and I was able to close the distance. You don’t really use Rose’s standing mk, believe it or not it’s a great tool inside as you’re immune to throws and getting swept while doing it. It also can combo to c.lp, c.lk. c.mp, spiral in close.
When I was rushing you down and pestering you with pokes and running you across the screen there were several times when a well placed s.mk would have stopped me or an EX spiral or FA.
And you didn’t really try to set up your ultra, or really threaten with it. The one time you threw it was on a wake up in an attempt to escape my throw shenanigans. Which by the way it really easy to get out of with a simple jump strait up. What I was doing was after throwing you, I’d dash in as you were getting up and throw you again, then back dash, and either dash in again and attempt another throw or do an mk spiral. In either instance you could have got out with a neutral jump and punish with a j.hp combo starter.
As for the combo I was doing there were a few with links. I was do a j.mk, c.lp, c.lp, c.lk, c.mp, EX spiral and I also landed a few times a a combo off of her slide like I said above where you hit with the tip of her foot, then link a c.lp, c.lk, c.mk, mk siral off of it.
And also did you notice what you did in the match that you won? You were the aggressor. When Rose has the momentum keep going with it. Believe me the less time you give your opponent to think the better. :tup:
