wanna hear something looney hehe I’m nutz by the way I hate being a perfectionist. lol I just got done sanding the green case down to the wood I’m re-primmering it and painting it that purple blue rectect with light blue decals reason being is I wanted purple in the begining but didn’t have the colors I needed so I went ahead and painted it that green Nickel cam combo well I grew bored with that shade fast It was a little to minty for me I love dark blue and purple so thats where I am going with it. should be done painting by tomarrow I hope, I’ll post picks prob monday same art and I know it’s gona look way better I have one blank almost ready for primmer and another right behind it so I should be good by the middle of the week
here is what it may look like but the paint is much brighter and the blue will also be brighter in the real thing this is a really bad psd. cs2 quick hue change

Ronin, how many coats do you use with the minwax and what grit are you using sandpaperwise when you are wet sanding. love your work…
blindwithonearm thank you! well i put 3 good coats downs then barely scuff the flat plains with automotive wet or dry 800 make sure you stay away from the dimension brake points (edges) then 3 more if needed sand between coats lightly with 1000 water is they key for better abrasion. depending on how much i sand off 7 good coats will do. last coat i go 800, 1000,2000 then cheese cloth. at this point I polish it with a nail polisher if its a dark color use a rubbing compond to get those pesky scratches out then it’s good to wax it for added protection. hope that helps, o and water base will never yellow and always takes more coats then a shellac or laquer

I was going to stop at 1000 MAYBE 1500 because i was unfamilliar with the minwax and how it stands up to scratches due to common use. trying to keep it at a semi-gloss but my next project i wanted to “mirror” gloss the finish like what you do to your sticks. its looking good so far on 3rd coat so maybe stop at 5.
OH last thing… i see you went with polyacrylic so i went with the same but what are your thoughts on the polyurithane version of minwax? is there a BIG diffrence in it?

BLIND- it works good two, get the water base polyurithene and try out there laquer it also work good i like the polycrylic becase it has no odor the two others will give u a buzz lol
well I should of stoped at the blue stage I love that color and when I did this I thought of VENOM next stick I make for myself will be a venom stick but without a pic of the character just his spider symbol and I will extend the white bars into the art to make his symbol should be dope
I went a little heavy on the pink flake and this thing turned out a little girly whatever i’m not painting it again time to move on to the next project. I like it but I like the purple ball color better but it was to dark for the theme, My girlfriend loves it, I guess thats what happens when you don’t sleep. I just kept spraying that pink no idea why. And I can’t wait to try this auto paint also I’m using Laquer this time this stuff is better than Minwax and has no yellowing so I’m gonna try it out.
ok so i almost cut my finger off lastnight, damn razors! but believie it or not im painting the case for the 3rd time I guess it proves my therory though, that you can redo my cases very easily stripped it twice and it looks great/ I going white case with hunter green decals with green flake over the green and that should look great c u soon
I stripped it twice and painted it 3 different times(held up great), I wanted to perfect my stenciling before I shipped any sticks out. And I’m real happy with the results much cleaner line brake no touch ups YES! I use blue contact not the clear this time, the clear sucks for sum reason and vinyl is to sticky It’s a good alternate to the custom car material. get ready shadow your stick is gona look great I can’t wait to get your parts so I can get you your stick! this is my case stripped twice and the 3rd and final paint job I made another one for a friend I didn?t take pics yet cause he is using it. It?s the same case design and color, the art is white background with everything out but the dragon around the stick and the button rings it looked clean and classy I will eventually take pics but he wanted it as soon as I finished it, I loved the color combo so I changed my case to the same, I’m happy now!!! your next Eternal Blaze I didn’t forget about you bro I’m still working on the art.

well here is what I got so far shadow hope you like it I call it white shadow hehe, I have the symbol light grey the black was to strong I am not finished yet so let me know what you think, I went with the more drawn pastel look for the art I had a simple comic book look that was a dark image but that was to plain jane for me and the dark did not mix well with this shimmery white flake paint. I do hope you like it Because I designed everything together so things would relate If you don’t want It I do lol. I am loving the way it’s turning out I especially like the way I did your name with the white shadow hope you like! let me kno asap what you think. now those black lines look crappy cause its like 4am and I got lazy but I did want it up for you to see it because I will be sleeping after this post peace bro.

an amazing amount of Detail when into making this stick. The wood is very smooth and the paint job is so amazing. I like how when light reflects the case it shows a different color shade of Pearl. I wanted a pearl theme and he was able to accomplish that.
Overall Impression
I am completely satisfied with Ronin’s work. I am glad that I was one of his first SRK Customer and Believe Me I am Very Happy on this Project turn out.
