I received my order today!!!
Thank you Ponyboy
I received my order about a week ago and just installed them today. The stock microswitches remind me of Crown, and that’s not particularly a good thing. The buttons itself are fine and shiny. I’ll be ordering some SW-68’s from you soon.
Thanks!
Personal I like the feel of the switches. Kind of like a nice middle of the road between the Sanwa and Seimitsu buttons. They are a bit looser then the Sanwa’s but not as loose as the Seimitsu’s. Now I was nervous at first myself so I ordered the SW-68’s to go with them just in case. I tried them both ways with the stocks and then the SW-68’s. I ended up just sticking with the stock one. The plus side is if you do decide to swap them out its super easy. No crazy modding necessarily. Now there was one thing I did notice, the plunger is a bit longer then a Sanwa (OBSF-30) or Seimitsu (PS-14-G), so that can mess with you a bit at first, but I think you will start to dig them stock after rocking them a little while longer.
But like everything else… you have to go with what feels good to you… so don’t just take my word (or anyone else)… Try it out for yourself both ways and give each a fair run. Be open and unbiased… and I think you might just flip them back to stock…
I can’t stand the stock switches at all. The switch activates when the button is pressed all the way down, and often times I drop inputs because it doesn’t register at all (about 1/15 inputs). I thought I was getting rusty at first but I performed everything fine on my old Seimitsus. I wish the switch was a little higher so it’d trigger earlier. Does anyone get this or is it just me? I was thinking that if I switch to the Sanwa switches, the buttons will be more responsive (trigger earlier) in my case. Maybe I could try modding them and pad the plunger with something so it triggers earlier.
It probably just comes down to what you like or are used to. I can’t stand Sanwa’s because I feel like every little brush against them activates them. I like resting my fingers on the buttons which doesn’t work so well with those. Seimitsus actually work way better for me because I have the feel of the button, then press and activate.
I know a lot of players refuse to touch the buttons unless they are pressing them for a specific purpose, and then they slam into them hard, so much so that I have issues activating buttons on a stick owned by a button “slapper” because they start registering later and later in the push as the buttons wear out.
I’m actually pretty interested as I wouldn’t mind “stiffer” sanwas which is what it sounds like these could be.
Riotblade:
I personally haven’t had this problem, but it could be a “feel” issue. Your playing style might be more comfortable with a certain trigger style like the Sanwa’s. Maybe you might want to try a few mods to see if it better suits you style, to get that more custom feel that you are looking for. Which Seimitsus do you use? Which button, and what switch? And how much uses do they have?
Sskaar:
I’m the same way, I rest my fingers on the buttons as well and Sanwa’s always felt to touchy sometimes. I tried the Seimitsu (PS-14-G) but they always felt to clunky (for the lack of a better word) and i could never get used to the lower profile of cap. You might want to give the Rollie’s a shot, I have found then to be a nice in the middle. I can’t wait for the Black buttons to come in so I can make my next order.
Oh and I have the same problems with “Slappers”. There is this one kid that comes to my “Fight Nights” that I told him he needs to bring he own stick from now on… haha
I have experience with both Sanwa OBSF/OBSN 30’s as well as the Seimitsu PS-KN-14 and the normal colored ones. I have none these issues with those buttons. I’ve also used happ buttons of different styles and have no problem playing with those either. Other types of button that I’ve tried were Crowns, and they have very similar issues. However, the Crown buttons do engage a bit earlier than these.
It’s quite fustrating
That’s how these buttons feel right now, out of the box. At least for me.
im a slapper lol and so the feel of the stock switches is perfect for me (so far; longevity unknown). dont worry though, i use my own sticks lol.
Any word on when the White Pearl 30mm will be back in stock?

Hey ponyboy, thoe snw switches are the proper replacements for Sanwa buttons right?
Yes, that is correct. SW-68 is the Sanwa Switch.
Ponyboy
Will the led fit into a Seimitsu PS-KN-14?
