I don’t get it either. He’s not the best troll in SF. Fuerte is. Learn to play a better troll! I know people that quit the game because of Fuerte: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkkYc6noFpk&feature=related

I played him mostly because my command execution was crap when i got back into fighters and started playing SF4 back in 09. He was easy to pick up and winning felt goooood. Got him up to 3200pp in Super then i stop playing as much so it dropped after a while. After playing a ton of command characters and playing with Makoto I feel like I can do well with her with some more practice. Blanka just feels comfy I guess.

Yeah I guess in an online environment he would be very easy to pick up. That will only get you but so far especially because majority of online play will give you extremely bad habits. Which you then bring to your local spot and either get blown up by someone like me or you spread the scrub online play into the community which helps no one.

wait a second there is nothing wrong with online play thats where i got the best practice at was when i played online and i don’t remember anyone blowing me up back then don’t put down the online players

Hey guys. Finally got AE for xbox and a fightstick. If anyone wants to help me out my GT is Bee Eh. Im getting so bodied right now. Havent played a fighting game in forever. Im trying to learn with Akuma… Im so bad right now though

The main reason hes good in an online environment compared to a consistent local scene is the gimmicks get old at locals, but online everyone is fresh meat.

Scrubby online play never spreads to decent players. However, playing online is better than not playing at all. Execution is harder, but it’s no different than playing on crappy set-ups. Also, lets be honest, that crappy random scrub you run into online thinks he’s the shit and you always run into players like him in local tournaments. So it helps prevent getting mind fucked.

Hey, who is this? I wouldn’t mind helping you with learning the game. As long as you put in the time to getting better. I don’t want to waste my time helping someone that also doesn’t help them-self. Also Akuma is a technically challenging character, so you’ll be losing for a while until you learn everything.

Yeah man forsure. Id like to come to any local stuff to if you let me know when it is. I just finished up school so ill have alot of free time while im trying to get a job to work on my game… right now ive been spending my time just trying to learn basic combos in training mode and stuff. I picked akuma just cause i like the character, just wish he had a little more life.

I’m glad I could spark some more interest into the thread. next subject will be why you should never play blazblue, thank you that is all.

The mole = the troll? My mind is blown.

There is a fine line between trolling and a discussion done completely in text. I think based on the responses to my messages some people may have taken it as a personal slight against them however this was not my intention. I believe that online play like anything thing else has exceptions and rules. Some small amount people may be the exception and Majority the rule.

In my experience online play made me more worse than hammering out an hour or so long play session locally with other people that had a solid grasp on the game. Also Blanka is just a hard character to play effectively without taking huge risks for a marginally better reward so in a game like sf4 I think he is a terrible character for just about anyone to play.

We play at The End Game Center every Thursday evening. People usually show up between 6-6:30 and stay as late as 10. I’ll also add your XBL GT and I’ll shoot you an invite sometime if I see you on. My GT is the same as my forum name.

lol i give up i mean really there is no getting through so apparently all online players are actually scrubs offline and blazeblue and any fighting game that doesn’t try and attach it self to capcom (Tekken ) is the worst fighting game ever welcome to Rogtown approved by CAPCOM

Uh. Anyone wanna play tonight? Haha…

Online? I’m not able to drive into town for games tonight.

So KOF 13 is coming out on Nov 22nd and I will definitely be getting it on release regardless of netcode, reason being is that I’ll be bringing it to locals for us to play. So on that note I’ve been doing research on the game and found some very interesting information you guys might find useful.

This should get you guys started, click a link for a youtube video combo tutorial:

This tier is just a guide to give you guys an idea of where the characters lie. Remember this is for the arcade version so this list will probably fluctuate.
The channel I got these tutorials from has more links that I couldn’t add but check them out anyway. Some of these characters don’t have links because they had no videos.

Also here’s a few teams I’m thinking of using:
Iori (Oroshi)
Kyo
Takuma

K’
Iori
Takuma

Takuma
Elizabeth
Kyo

Takuma
Elizabeth
Andy

Takuma
Leona
Elizabeth

Takuma
Kula
Elizabeth

Kula
Elizabeth
Leona

K’
Takuma
Elizabeth

Cool stuff. I’m interested in playing it. I don’t have any team in mind since I’m not too familiar with all the characters. So just going to go the route of random teams until I find my style.

That tier listing is also the point system for certain formats of tournaments. So for instance if you do a 5 pt tourney you could have a team like K’, Mai, Athena which is a 5 pt guy and two 0 pt characters or you could do Leona, Benimaru, and Maxima as another 5 pt team. It would help with getting a more diverse team make up instead of having K, Raiden, and insert random 4 pt character here.

I’ve got the Arcade version on my PC and it works well like 200+ FPS no crashing… I guess sunday I can start having people over again as my dad is not in the hospital atm! yall can try it out then

I won’t be coming tonight to fight night. A friend of mine is getting married this weekend so I’ll be going to the bachelor party tonight.
