Cosmetically, yes. I have a flag on my vehicle that says Team Fat
it could be interesting, but not in THIS game. This is basically Soccer meets Football meets Hockey meets Nascar meets NASA.
More like just soccer dude…I tried to get into it but there really isn’t much to the game…but what do you expect for free I guess.
I suppose I will continue to forget it exist.
Soccer doesn’t allow full contact, and also has out of bounds, whereas Rocket League has full contact, and no out of bounds.
…it’s not free…it’s basically a sports sim with cars. If you enjoy soccer or hockey, and don’t mind cars, this game is sexcellence.

It’s one of those “easy to learn, difficult to master” things. If you weren’t into it, I doubt you’ll have a change of heart. But it’s the most fun game I’ve played this gen.
…Which has admittedly been pretty bad so far, but still.
This is why
Having a full team capable of flight lets you make shit up on the go, defensively and offensively. Much of the depth and fun to the game is mastery of flight and physics of the game aside from fundamentals like positioning and what not. If you can fly and setup/make shots offensively, it’ll also applies defensively/neutral where you can deny shots by flying.
So your effective range extends far past waiting for the ball to land and then whack it a bit, rinse repeat and the game completely opens up as soon as you’re consistent with it. Not counting the amount of angles you can go for since you can also approach from above.
It’s pretty fun to call out to a friend as a goalie saying “yo I got this shit” and the ball is 3/4ths across the map at the top of the screen and your teammates watch you fly there and dunk it to the goal.
Or you end up whiffing and you start singing “I will go sailing no more” from Toy story 1 as you start falling from the top of the map and letting the other team get a free goal. It’s a great game to play with friends casually or competitively.
That aside im pretty sure they will add new modes like adding weapons and shit. Rocket jumping would work SO WELL in this game.

Being able to bomb jump or instantly change directions in air with instant detonations would be god like. Or landing sticky bombs on the wall, fly to the wall and bounce off with a detonation. Off the wall to off the ceiling and then come down spiking a ball into the goal HNGHH
This game is mostly fun for trash talking for me i love shit talking the other team and my own teammates when they suck
I like when nobody is in the opponents net, I score from my end, and I just keep hitting WHAT A SAVE over and over and over during the replay.
Like, I can have good games when I’m drinking but I kind of don’t care because I’m having fun. It’s not like COD, where I’m either winning or angry lol
I have my moments. Like I don’t care if we get scored on, if the opponent makes a good play. If a teammate misses a shot or drives right past/under the ball, it happens…lag, strange bounces, mistiming ball bounces, etc.
But I do rage when I watch a teammate driving literally 3 inches behind his teammate. Congratz, you’re now officially useless.
I actually quit a match today and called it a wrap after getting teamed up with -awful- people again and again.
yeah i ragequit a match after watching our goalie leave the net for no reason at all, and we got scored on 3 times in a row…like, you didn’t get the hint the first two times they scored on an empty net when you cowardly left the net?
Lost my fucking mind playing a game with some asshole who kept just trying to be fucking Gretzky and just do it all himself. Every time I went into the corner, dude was 3 inches behind me. Every time I went for a shot, he’d hit me and knock me out of the way. Every time I went to save the ball, he’d hit me trying to get it. Fuck off, if you see a teammate going for the ball, play THAT, don’t play the ball. Anticipate what he will do, and where the ball will go. If you follow me in the corner, one of two things happens:
- I miss the ball, and you recover it, now we have two guys out of position and probably nobody available to hit the ball
- I hit the ball, now we have two guys out of position and probably nobody available to hit the ball.
So yeah, just stay the fuck away from your teammates, and be open.
Also, I love when you have that one shit teammate who is sucking, but because he’s all offence he keeps getting points for shots and centres, but he will yell at the rest of the team for having no points, when he is basically handing the game to the other team. Yeah, kinda hard for me to have points when you keep stealing the ball, and hitting me, asshole.

Rocket League is actually the sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. That game had some fucked up different stuff.
But they’ve discussed the maps we have for now are all we got for awhile, but they do plan on weird extra features styles of non traditional gameplay. Zero G games, different shaped arenas, multiball, 5v5. It’s stuff they’ve discussed just wanting to add to the game.
They’re probably going to be announcing a redo of the seasons/ranking structure, since season 1 was a placeholder, pretty much. I know people have been requesting horns to be added, as well. Either way I’m curious.
And yeah, I’m down for a game whenever with you guys, I’m psyched as shit for this. How many PC and PS4 people can we get together? We’ll just make a fun room, and I can body all you chumps. Kinda shocked they don’t advertise this feature more, lol.
