One thing I try to take notice of is starting position on face-offs. If you’re the person farthest away from the ball don’t rush for the ball because your teammates will get there first. So just guard the goal, I’ve seen (scored? maybe once) off a break that someone holding back could have stopped EZ, then grab some boosts.
I’ve only played the game 3 nights so take my advice with some salt, I’m trying to learn too.
I fuckin hate when I end up right underneath the ball. I might just start looking for opponents to check when that happens… guard the ball for teammates coming behind to strike it. That seems to happen a lot.
Also I blow at flying. My best ‘ability’ at this point is barrel roll goals scored from the corners of the box.

Jesus christ why do people suck so much at this game its so simple
The worst part about my work trip getting extended is that I can’t play this game again until Sunday night.
So me and my small squad of newbies have been wrecking online… Until lastnight where we ran into a squad of actual good players in a league way above our own. I have never been stomped 7-0 in this game yet. Theyhad great map control great defence and great attack. I was the main defender so i was noticing stuff such as only 1 or 2 of em going at the ball at a time while the others sat back incase an opening happend. I tried telling my team but the chick we play with has an adamantium skull and just kept saying they were getting lucky… And how we are so much better. I can get pretty cocky while gaming but i know when to admit someone is flat out better than me and we were getting strongly outplayed. I noticed a few things that i been trying to point out at them and that is dont bother attacking the ball if its not gonna help you. They always defended AWAYfrom the net unless absolutly necessary. They attacked patiently waiting for the ball to set up and forcing us to make the move at the ball which in turn got us out of position. I tried voicing this to my team but pms butch freaked out at me -.- god forbid you try to learn something new 3 days after you started playing the game… God forbid you mention something to someone who had never played a car game before 3 days ago… Anyways i was impressed as to how well you could control the ball in a game that feels like you have very little control lol.

I don’t really need new cosmetic stuff, even though those new paints look pretty nice, I’m happy with my getup. I’m not one of the PSN+ freebie guys.
