I finally bit the bullet and started learning a character other than MAI WAIFU YUKIKO-CHAN in p4a; I’m trying to get a decent Narukami in my pocket. It may end up with Yukiko being in my pocket (aw yeah). But seriously, it’s a nice change of pace to play a different character. After learning a couple combos I went online with him and discovered a few things:
Damn the range on his normals is shorter than what I’m used to.
I’m very used to being able to chuck a projectile by just tapping a button and not needing to input a motion for it.
Yu’s 5c does something very different from Yukiko’s 5c
I won the online matches because I was playing against people who were even scrubbier than I was, but I endeavored to not just cheese it out all the time. I also played a couple matches as Yukiko and ended up winning those as well, which was a nice surprise. After getting bodied so thoroughly at Apex, it’s nice to take a fresh look at the game.
