Also, if anyone wants to practice VF with me online I got it for 360 too, so I have it on both consoles.
Behe1it on 360
TherionSol on PS3.
Hit me up.

I watched some of the VF stuff during SRC. It was interesting. It seemed like the models rarely actually touched each other; one character would throw a punch and the other character would go into hitstun, but the fist never connected. That would drive me insane if I actually played the game.
Also the players spent a bunch of time designing outfits for their characters on stream; eventually the commentator went over and shouted at them. That was probably the highlight of VF for me, honestly.
You do realize that with every passing second of your life that game slips further into the void?
Do you know what killed serious Checkers competition? At the last major tournament in Scotland in the early-mid 20th century, 2 amazing checkers players faced off.
They ended up playing the same exact game 40+ times to a draw because the ideal moves were limited and known.
The game had been ‘booked’, every ideal move for every situation had become known and it came down to being able to play the game one way.
MvC2 is done. We are all thoroughly familiar with the ideal teams/strategies. That game, like checkers, is fun to fuck around in and pretty to look at, but meaningless at this point.
So stop jumping in here to beg people to play your outdated, booked, and broken ass game.
Shits getting tired.
I dont see why it upsets you. relax
Real man.
It’s probably because VF has no real hit effects like other fighters, it’s the same deal with MK, but when something hits hard and cleanly in VF, you’ll know it because of that crunchy hit sound. There are some special hit effects for certain things like counter hits though. But it’s a much different ballgame from Tekken. Just watch some old vids of Aris playing VF, it’s hilarious.
@Wasim - I’ll hit you up on the ol’ Foreman Grill 3.
Ight. Yo. Its all fun and games. But that was uncalled for Wasim. You didnt need to pop off about his game of choice like that.
And to put it in prespective. Thats the kind of stuff people use to get on goggles about.
Save the hate for another city at the very least. Yo nick ill play mvc2 with you. Im ass tho. But you been posting herr mad hard about it. Be nice to put name to face.
I’ll play Marvel 2.
My team?
Cable x3.
 Um, your triple Cable is clearly no match for my Jill/Bulletta/Spiral.
Ugh, I wish I knew how to play actual characters in that game, LOL.
I got something better than Cable.
Cablaki.
Let’s go Yannick, I’ll Mugen money match you.
Also original character DO NOT STEAL.
It ain’t even like that.
Guy shows up once every month, two months throws some bullshit post about his game. Then disappears for another 1-2 months, making no effort whatsoever either to get in on the Rochester scene or to actually try to meet any of us to play.
Its like a guy ringing your doorbell every two months and whenever you answer he just stands there smiling at you while juggling hamsters and invites you to the circus, then runs away before you can even answer.
It gets annoying.
Its bad enough he’s pushing an antiquated fighter, but at least take it seriously when you’re trying to ask people for their time.
Two wrongs dont make a right. We’re not a bunch of elitist snobs. Give the guy a break. Maybe if we didnt act like his post didnt exist he could have interacted with us better by now.
And we all have niche games. We were playimg mvc origins not long ago. But were above mvc2? Cmon.
Your entitled to your opinion. But as ive always said. There is a clear difference between being “real” and being “rude”
Who’s being elitist?
I think I have just about every fighting game ever made. . .either legit or rom.
One of my favorite fighters of all time is Cyberbots.
And as I’ve said before. . .those older games have a lot of charm. . .and really good friction.
But. . .can we not act like we aren’t self-aware? If I’m gonna play an older game. . .I am entirely willing to accept the criticism that my game is broken and/or no longer worthwhile. It comes with the territory of dedicating yourself to a dated/broken game.
Nothing I said was not true. Was my tone hostile? Yes, it was. . .I admit it. But that hostility came more out of the random drop-ins and disappearances than from the game itself.
If I’m gonna ask some people. . .or even a community. . .to come play my old game, there is a certain amount of extra effort that goes into it. You have to push that shit, make it enticing somehow. . .you have to make it easy for people.
Throwing empty posts every once in while with no consistency and no follow-up just insinuates a lack of dedication and a weird, off-brand kind of trolling.
Well debate offline. Dont want to turn this forum into a big argument.
I owe Wasim an apology. I didnt realize nick ended his post with “later losers”. So I will humbly get off ny soap box now lol.
Respect.
Rochester FGC: The Classiest.
Egg white omelettes and Chardonnay all day here!
Shoutouts.
We talking about dead games? Play melty! It’s so dead, it’s on the srk frontpage.
Also, as per usual, EGS is happening tomorrow, 8-11.
Melty will never die.
It’s one of those few games that while old, remains one of the most balanced fighters out there.
Let me know the when and where, and I will be there! I make my own schedule at work so if its far enough in advance any date is possible. the later losers was a joke, guess that didnt translate well. So used to dealing with trolls, I guess some of it came out in my post. my bad
@other bro: I dont mean to make it seem like I only ask to play mvc2 then disappear. I thought I had watched this thread but yet Im not getting alerts from it. srk issue maybe?
I just don’t have much interest in any other game. Watching them is alright but I don’t have much of a vested interest in it. I messed around with 3 but it just doesn’t draw me to it at all.
I’m going pretty hard in MvC2 for Final Round. I know the game is dead on the mainstream scene (and probably dead on the local scene too) but there are going to be quite a few old heads going to FR for this game I love. I’m not looking for someone to be great or anything and I’m not looking to feel myself against people who suck, I just wanna play offline cause online can be pretty frustrating at times with dropped inputs and whatnot.
Anyways, I don’t mean any disrespect to anybody in this thread. I never even knew Rochester had a scene and it’s great that there is one; I wish I had been around/aware when MvC2 was the big game
I’m too tired to put things eloquently or coherently, but:
We’re pretty chill over here. We play pretty much everything. . .or at least most of us have dabbled in every major fighting game/franchise.
Just being more consistent in your posts and/or approach would go a long way towards getting those offline matches.
Also, protip: Don’t call people losers that you’ve never met. . .it comes off in all kinds of wrong ways and just kind of makes you look like a jerk. Just cuz people are the internet, doesn’t mean they are trolls.
It’s fine if MvC2 is YOUR game. . .I mean, if no other game resonates with you, that is understandable. . .
Hell, Tekken stopped resonating with me recently. . .which is why I made the switch back to VF5:FS instead.
So, that’s it.
Cheers.
