What’s hard for me is blocking and timing are unclear.
I don’t know why things hit when I thought I blocked and when I run through the moves in practice. . .they all seem pretty quick. . .but then when I face actual opponents. . .I find that my characters’ moves are not as fast as I thought.
This whole game is a world of confusion for me. I’ve been putting in the work recently. . .I’m getting sucked into it. . .but this is all new territory for me. I have literally NEVER played a Tekken game even in passing so I have no conceptual knowledge to fall back on.
I find it kind of funny because the guy JUST released a statement that he didn’t want to be remembered as the “Metal-Gear” guy. Kind of late eh?
But, I can only hope it’s an original game. I wanna see what he can do.
You kind of have to take blocking one character at a time. After you’ve built up an online repitoire of vids, browse through and see which moves you keep getting hit by. Prioritize by damage taken or which moves knock you down.
If you want to know more about the moves, figure out which limbs they are and then look up the frame data for that move. Each limb is mapped to a button in tekken: left punch ==1, rp ==2, left kick==3, rk==4. So, for example every character’s 1 on block is +1 and on hit or counter hit is +8, kind of similar to vf. So, standing punches are a great way to start offense. They are all high and can be ducked of course, but everything has a drawback.
Also, this guy has a playlist of every character’s movelist being done by him, so if I need to look at what a move is when I’m not at a system, I can just browse the video of the character I’m looking for. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC7017BF8CE155E58
Another hint I use in figuring out when you can move after blocking an attack is this: You will see white sparks after successfully blocking an attack. Time your button press or stick movement right after that white dust clears. This will help if you’re trying to punish an attack or side-step a follow up.
@Coca - I got the flash executable from your gmail. Thanks. The embeds have been working so far. Now to turn ad block back on.
Edit: Joseph Joestar is in the building! Newest JOJO episode is a literal blow up.
Taking a big step back in Tekken from what I brought last Wed. since attempting to tag switch at the right times mid-combo, often needing to run in on a 1 to keep the float. Gotta work these out.
That episode with Wasim’s 360 wiped out my save AGAIN, had a few theme teams going but the main loss was my meticulously arranged tunes with old Tekken songs. No biggie to rebuild but gonna drop the themed costumes.
Edit: Forgot the point of my post, which was that everyone is now getting MOTW Terry Bogard outfits when I get the money.
So, I have a question for you tech savy gentlemen: What’s your opinion on fanless PSU’s?
I saw this and it looks intriguing. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182169
Not planning on buying it anytime soon, but in theory this would be excellent for a home theater set up. No fan noise means audio system has less work to do. I’m skeptical with the design as with most electronics, but I suppose a PSU is technically a solid state device, so meticulous contact cooling should probably keep things cool. The above item has a massive heat sink on the top and if the internal air flow of your pc is decent, I don’t see why it can’t piggy back off of that to dissapate heat.
It really really all depends on your parts. Some cpus even to this day run hot like a mofo. If your gonna do something like this, you have to plan “cool” from the beginning with all pieces considered cpu, gpu etc
