@Steve Minh told me about the Tekken thing at EGS so hopefully i’ll get contacted in time for me to know when and where to show up, cuz I don’t know the exact apt #. And if Oscar is still doing the 4pm thing without it interfering i’ll show up there also.

Free to enter TT2 tourney at my apartment, 185-D Perkins Green, this evening at 7pm.
The event will consist of a 1v1 format TTT:2 tournament on two ( possibly three ) systems. If the 1v1 tournament finishes in a timely manner, all stations will be open for free play (1v1 or 2v2). I will be posting up a rule set shortly.
In order to run this successfully, I will need to make sure there is a minimum amount of equipment for use ( so that things don’t take forever )
We currently have:
Equipment -
1 game copy on pre-order
3 PS3s
4 PS3 controllers
1 PS2 controller w/ PS2 to USB converter
2 low latency monitors
1 no latency crt television
Furniture -
2 tables & a side table for monitors
1 Couch ( 3 seater )
2 Ottomans
2 Lawn chairs
4 kitchen chairs
We could use:
Equipment -
1 - 3 or more copies of TTT:2
1 low latency monitor w/ hdmi input ( ex ASUS 236h )
1 ps3
Arcade sticks
Furniture -
chairs (collapsible lawn chairs are ideal)
1v1 Tournament rules:
3/5 Rounds
2/3 Matches,
3/5 Matches Grand Finals
Double Elimination
Tournament will start promptly at 7:30, so please show up on time.
All available characters will be allowed during the tournament (sans combot) unless we do not have at least two stations with all characters ( including pre-order dlc ) available by Saturday. If that is the case, then DLC characters will not be allowed in the tournament. I’m doing this to make sure we can finish the tourney in a reasonable amount of time.
Of course, you can use whomever you like during free play.

Or, we can just go to Steve’s place, and play other games other than Tekken while the tourney is going. It’s better to have one singular place to go. I’ll try to come and bring my monitor/PS3/Capcom games. Sounds good?

I’ll be there at 730. I might have to bail at like 10 or 11, a friend is turning 21 and I should be there for at least part of that too. But let’s be honest, unless my new christie tech is super op, I’ll probably get knocked out early, so I’m not stressing.

Hey, shoutouts to steve for organizing and running and hosting a good tournament! I got severely bodied in the first round and then severely bodied in the loser’s bracket (and then OSCAR went and let me down by losing to gary, what a jerk), but I had a great time pressing buttons and it was cool to meet some more people. It seemed like there was a pretty good turnout and everybody was having a good time, so it was a lot of fun all around. Sorry I had to bail at 10, but I should be able to make it out to RIT again this wednesday and hopefully I’ll see some of you guys out there.
Greg right? I believe I am that guy who “bodied” you in losers. Haha, sorry for that!

Yeah, it was you, you mother fucker. Hopefully I’ll see you on Wed and we’ll be able to get some games of persona in! Lord knows I haven’t been able to find too many mitsurus to play against, she’s such an unpopular character.
sniff sniff I thought I smelled salt. My apartment is still full of it. Thanks to everyone who came out and made this tourney successful! Special shoutouts to Ray and Oscar for bringing extra set-ups. That really helped things move along more quickly. Extra special thanks to my roommates for helping by purchasing an extra copy of Tag. And thank you Mr. Yannick for “switching” up the soundtrack and providing ME with delicious wood-chucks.
