so MGSV looks amazing, even if i dont think the story will be what i want it to. MGO!!
So no BBCP til next year, and only on PS3.
I just want to drill into people and do stupid amounts of chip damage, ya know?
Are we going to have to battle for Best Amane in Rochester, Matt? Don’t make this have to happen, bro.
So two exciting bits of news:
Raincoat and slabsword are both free instead of DLC.
BBCP is ps3 exclusive(I guess I’m late on that?).
Also: Microsoft says: don’t buy an xbone. They know best I guess.
Oh are we gonna have a waifu husbando war? Cuz it’s on.

The xbox hate is strong in this one.
Don’t worry, if he doesn’t like the Xbox-One, he can always just buy another Xbox 360!!!
GG
EDIT:
I think it says something very significant that when somebody posts a factual statement regarding the functionality of the XBox One versus the Playstation 4, you feel like that’s “hate”. There was literally no value judgement at all in that post, just a list of places where the Xbox will work at launch. Where are you getting this negative energy from, dude?
Sorry Dan.
No bullshit.
I felt the hate in that post as well.
Just saying.
Okay, so part of this is just me participating in Troll Wednesdays. But a big part of it is honestly sincere; I really do think it’s very significant that somebody can literally do nothing but post a link to a microsoft.com website, along with a map illustrating the data that Microsoft is presenting, and this presentation of data is regarded as hate. Koax didn’t say “yo guys check out this bullshit”, he didn’t say “this is some whacked up shit”, he didn’t say “how is this a defensible position”, even though he would have been well within his rights to say any of those things. He didn’t even say “Man, sure does suck that my friend in Portugal/Japan/China can’t buy an xbox one at launch, because it straight up won’t work for him”, which would have again been utterly factual but still something of a loaded value judgement.
He didn’t do any of those things. He just posted a link, and posted an illustration.
When we’ve reached the point where literally presenting factual data straight from the source qualifies as ‘hating on Microsoft’, it’s impossible to have a debate about the console because if we can’t refer to facts in the debate without being accused of having an agenda, there’s really nowhere to go from there. So…Do we stop talking about the xbox one, or do we recognize that the two options available are A) Lie about the device and its features or B) Hate on the device?
edit: Hey guys I heard that every time you turn on the xbox one it gives you a thousand dollars. Just straight up prints 'em out for you. You can choose denominations, too. This is my attempt at fair, unbiased coverage of the device.
TBH I didn’t want to use that pic, but since I was lazy to cut and use the top one only there you go.
I don’t hate the Xbox One, but there are way too many reasons why I should not even consider it. I also don’t care about the PS4 either since there is not a single game I care about that’s coming out for any console that isn’t also available on PC, except maybe Bayonetta 2 on the WiiU
stop hating, dude.
edit: Wait, is that a ps4 controller? I’m so confused now. The buttons are Playstation, but the layout is xbox.
You know…
I just want to say something of substance here…
I’ve always been a Sony fan. I don’t just mean in games, I mean in most of their tech. I’ve always appreciated how they’ve tried to push technology. Most recently, they’ve begun releasing 4K TVs into the market. They’re always trying to be ahead, they fail sometimes (Betamax, PSP), but its admirable I feel that they try.
As much as I love the PS3, it is evident the sheer amount pf hubris and arrogance involved in some of their design decisions. Everything from their weird ad campaigns to using a proprietary architecture that was stupidly difficult to develop for.
Microsoft on the other hand, did a lot of things well with the 360. Great marketplace, great internet, fun exclusives, and simple architecture. This allowed it to succeed in spite of extra costs.
It is unfortunate that MS made the decisions they made with X1. Its also unfortunate that they chose to neglect a majority of international markets for the sake of convenience.
In all honesty, all bullshit aside, X1 looks like an exciting system held back by poor policies.
I will get an X1 probably withinthe first 8 months of release. I have also pre-ordered a PS4.
While having carried that Sony flag through some dark days, its good to see some success from Sony’s camp. However, it actually makes me kind of sad to know that there are a ton of people that wont even have a choice between the two consoles.
I feel that no matter what political affiliation, race, religion, age, gender…more and more people can talk passionately about video games. Its a thing that brings people together and crosses infinite boundaries.
It is from this perspective that it saddens me that other people in the world who love video games won’t have access to this system, and therefore wont be able to express or indulge in this passion.
This inevitably creates tiers of expression.
The reason soccer is the largest sport in the world is because anyone can play it. A ball, a goal, some space. A soccer fan from Kenya can share the experience with a soccer fan from China.
Obviously, MS made a calculated decision to focus on first-world markets in order to provide their version of ‘the best’ experience. However, I feel that by dropping the 24-hour check in feature and region-locking, they could open to larger markets succesfully, gving gamers everywhere the ability to choose and indulge in their passion equally.
Of course, this all sounds somewhat altruistic, however there are massive markets where MS could make money by dropping just those two features.
Again, I am excited for Next-Gen consoles, just would like to see everyone given the chance to get excited and choose how they want to indulge.
The PS3 made it hard on developers all over the world to make games. The XBOXONE is making it hard on gamers everywhere to enjoy MS’ games…and what sucks is MS’ games are crazy fun.
Gamers, man…shoutouts.
Yes, that is indeed a PS4 controller in the works.
