FRIGGING MEGAMAN OH MY GOD YES.
“I have to say Sony did pull a really good stunt. Without giving it much attention they moved online gaming to PS+ meaning more people will get a subscription. On top of that you get a lot of free games and discounts when having PS+. As a result you will buy more games as a digital version because it’s cheaper, faster and every month you get a new game for free. This will hurt the used game market. Because you can’t sell the digital games. What Sony is trying to pull is something like Steam for the Playstation. They fight the used game market like every publisher does today. But they disguised it under the coat of not restricting disc based games. And we don’t care. Why should we? We get a good deal out of it.”
Everybody fighting that used game hatred (?) in different ways.
I think the argument that PS+ is Sony’s main way of fighting it is a little weak, though. I can’t go into the details right now, but I can’t quite see PS+ making a terrible impact on Gamestop’s bottom line.
Okay, meeting got canceled somehow, so I’ve got some time. Yeah, unless Sony seriously mixes up their PS+ strategy, you’re only going to be getting games that have a drastically reduced value on the market anyway. Unless I am completely blind or totally mistaken, my understanding of the anti-used market is because games that SHOULD be selling at retail AREN’T, not necessarily because games that AREN’T selling at retail SHOULD. PS+, as it stands, is about six to nine months behind the curve of current gen offerings either for free or drastically reduced prices; everything else is a previous gen offering or a low-price offering that you wouldn’t even spend the gas to go buy from a Gamestop anyway. I would have to see some 180 degree type about-facing to convince me that PS+ is now Sony’s anti-used market weapon, but I do agree that they are offering it as an alternative to some “Eh, I’ve always wanted to get it at $x price.”
<— still X1
unless i see something better than Halo or Titan Fall. I’ll be honest, kingdom hearts made me twitch alittle bit, but they didn’t claim that would be an exclusive title. Which means it could come to xbox one, or better yet another platform that I either already own or be alot cheaper than ps4. I’ll prob get a wiiU just for smash if its good enough, since the game wont be coming out for a year, plenty of time for that wiiU price to get reasonable
Update: Kingdom Hearts 3 will be coming to Xbox One. Now i really have no reason to look at ps4 (personally)
Second Update : FF 15 will also be on xbox one… o.o…
You can get it for 3DS if you have one already Dan.
A car.
Can a brotha get some Tekken Revo updates?
Word is binds are gone and characters have backwalking animations now (only took a few decades!).
Tryna get my DR-but-looks-like-BR grind on!
Mega Man is going to be OP, confirmed. Because metal blades.
Heres to it being the spiral swords of smash lol.
Also… how dare woman have an opinion!? [sarcasm]
Damn summer classes! I’ve missed everything interesting today haven’t I?
@Dan - Dang, those tweets go in. Not a good look.
Megaman is so yesterday. It’s all about that Wii-Fit Trainer. GG Sakurai.
EDIT:
Wii Fit Trainer reveal video
Sounds like Tri-force is behind the camera. He is usually at Nintendo events.
FF15 Battle gameplay for those that haven’t seen it.
For Smash 4, I’m mainly interested in seeing Kirby in a tank top or yoga pants when he copies Wii Fit Trainer.
Yea they did and Hercule too. I was actually gonna enter as Chiaotzu, but I forgot how to spell his name haha. Gonna stick with Yamcha I think, for the lulz.
Thanks for the welcome!
Just played some Tekken Revolution. I need to unlock Steve, and no Bob in sight.
Only thing I can say I like about this game is they took out Bounds, so it’s a bit closer to pre-T6, but alot of moves have weird new properties and effects that makes it kinda funky, like random critical hits and invincibility.
Also EWGF is stupid easy to do now. It does nearly 25% with no enchantments. I don’t even wanna see the damage with a fully buffed maxed out strength Kazuya.
Overall, I think this sort of thing should of been a PC game.
I’m surprised it wasn’t released as a PC game. F2P and PC are kind of an obvious match.
