I guess they are doing the Master Planner right off the bat. Anyone who read the early comics knows who he is. For those that don’t know, I won’t spoil it for you.
Aww, you beat me to posting it this week Reggie. lol
I must say, the show looks so much better this season. The art is really getting closer to reflecting Sean Galloway’s original style. And the animation is top-notch as always. The scene from Kraven first stalking to Spidey to the end of their first fight is now one of my favorite sequences in the series, and that second fight was just brutal.
The Spider-Man quip generator was running on all cylinders, wasn’t it? Seems like everybody wanted to bring the lolz this time. Even Sally.
Liz seems like she doesnt know what she wants. Same with Peter. I enjoy this little teen love-triangle.
The new doctor (whose name escapes me) is a douche. The new Eddie(lol) is also a douche. Lots of douchebaggery going on in that lab.
Next week, Spidey vs Sinister Six Part 2. Get hype.
Muzak of the Spectacular theme, check.
Pete pimpin and gettin pimped, check.
The Maximum Spider, Sommersault Justice and the Stinkmeaner 2-Piece Combo, check.
The Master Planner revealing themselves, check.
Spectacular beastin as usual, CHECK!!!
Only reason I caught the ep first was because I was camping out on YouTube waiting for that sucker to be posted.
Debra did come across a jerk in her brief time on the screen. I wonder if she’s effed up like she was in the comics.
Liz does seem confused but she’s also communicating to Gwen with her actions towards Peter. That hug AND kiss right in front of Gwen. Girl was saying “Back the eff off, broad. You can’t have him.” Gwen needs to step it up!
And LOL at Spidey talking on the phone again during a fight.
Seriously! I had my suspicions about Miles Warren from the first ep and this one just showed that the dude is willing to go to any length in the name of science.
I was talking to a buddy of mine on aim about this show and he said he saw only one ep, Persona, the one with Chameleon and Black Cat. He said he didn’t like the animation and he didn’t like Spidey’s voice. Said he was just stuck on '90s Spidey. Should I no longer count him as one of my friends?
No. One episode isn’t enough. Show him two other ones and if that doesn’t do it nothing will.
What sold me was when Tombstone rushed Peter’s shit in like he turned him from a grown man into a girl scout with no cookies. That let me know right there and then that this show was not about reusing fights or telling stories that fit good within 30mins. It’s about the characters and the choices they make and the actions that follow. If the original comics were like this then damn.
I just don’t see it being Osborne. The big reason is that the Green Goblin arc still isn’t resolved, and I don’t see Gobby being any sort of team player.
That must be from the same universe where Hal Jordan is the only Green Lantern. If only that universe could escape the confines of your head and reach actual comic books, huh?
Why is it so hard to follow main contunity…like is there some contract that states any reference to 616 or accurate portrayal to the source material is off limits or what. Look the series is still good…but I would have just preferred 616 lore instead of the abomination that is the ultimate universe. Spidey is was more faster then the series gives credit for anyways…but meh I’ll deal i guess.
Not disputing the speed difference, I’m talking about the portrayal of speed. Parker’s speed class can move to the point of a blur, the series does do a good job showing his agility but he’s a lot faster then from what we have seen. It’s still possible to be faithful to the source material and be a good casual friendly show.
