my 5th 360 just RRoD on me tonight. It was freezing last night so I knew it was coming.
i may try to fix it tomorrow morning w/the xclamp fix on llama’s site but was wondering if anyone going to Raven’s tomorrow knows how to do it.
I’ll come as well if I can get there through the metro.

You must have a lot of money to go through 5 360’s. You could have bought a PS3.:lol:
My friend had his RROD and he did the most ghetto stuff ever to fix the problem. The motherboard overheated and became weak and bent. So he had it cool down then turned the system on to overheat it…then took some parts out and some other randomness and then overheated it again to “glue” the parts back on and fix the motherboard back into place. Do you have an Elite 360 or just one of the regular ones? I’ve had an Elite 360 for almost 2 years now without issue.
Heh…C3 last weekend made me realize how many people still haven’t decided to throw money down on a PS3. We had like 7 360’s there and one PS3. The person who brought the PS3 had to leave at 6:00 and at least 4 or 5 of the better players there had PS only custom sticks. The tournament took an extra hour or more just because of that. We were literally trying to run 1/2 of a 20 something man tournament on one PS3. Then when he left people finally buckled down and just borrowed TE sticks.
I do it every day to come home, it really isnt THAT bad.
Yeah, the process is kinda involved. I don’t have a 360, but I’m planning on getting one with my next paycheck. JASPER all the way, man. I won’t have to worry about that RRoD shit. Just E74…

I’m sure he got MS to replace some of his… either way, I went with a PS3 and I’ve never had problems… I don’t see how people can say Xbox360 is so much better when they die all the time. IMO, both consoles are equal, and have their merits.
That process actually kinda works because hes essentially doing a ghetto reflow. There are machines that re-“glue” all the parts back together to get it to work. One of my friend’s Elite RRODed. That’s why I’m going to get an arcade and extra HD. Sure, I don’t have a little chrome on my console, but arcades (Jaspers) don’t RRoD.
They should hit me up for dual mods :D. Honestly though, people need to be prepared for both consoles. While I like the PS3 better, I know 360 has better online and stuff, so I understand why people have it.
That said… I’m gonna have a PS3 and 360 soon, and I’m a college kid. If I can afford it, I know you can too!
yo i can bring a PS3 to Ravens tomorrow if necessary. I only have HDMI cables though, I don’t have the normal A/V cables that come with it.
i can also bring 2 joysticks that work on both consoles, 1 happ, 1 sanwa.
but like i said not sure how late i can stay or if i can come in the evening at all, so would like to do afternoon if possible

About a PS3, I dunno. I’m going to call around to a few people tomorrow and try to get one, but even if I do, I don’t know if they have SF4, BB, or anything for it. May just have to stick with 360 for now. :sad: Sorry about that.

i also got SF:AC for xbox if anyone wants to play some sf3. i’m not good at sf3 at all i hardly played it, mainly played sf2 on there. but figured i’d throw that out there that i have it and can bring it.
I got the 42 inch in the living room, and if we get another console, I got a 27 inch in the bedroom I could pull into the living room. You mentioned only have HDMI cables for the PS3, which the smaller TV doesn’t accept. I can see about picking up some composite cables (or component…I’d have to check the TV) for a PS3 if you are for sure bringing it.
And I have a hacked Xbox with Dark Stalkers, MSH, MSH vs SF, MvC1, SFA3, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Vampire Savior, X-Men vs SF, AoF1, and Last Blade 2. Unfortunately, I don’t have a stick for the Xbox, just a REALLY crappy controller for it (and it’s even one of the big ones!). So if anyone has a OG Xbox stick, or knows someone that does, hit me up, I could use it, lol.
i have cables. you can also use the ps2 cables as well.

Well, it’s a 1700sq foot apartment, so it’s not TINY, but it’s not huge. Only problem we may run into is lack of seating. I’ve only recently moved here and at our old house in WA, we didn’t have a dining room, but we do no, but no dining room table, lol. So for seating we have the couch, a could of chairs, the computer chair, etc. Not much, but it should do alright. Had a party not to long after moving in and had quite a few people, so we should be good.
About the cables, I would bring them if you can.
Time is any time really. I have to pick my wife up from work around 4, and she works downtown, but I should be back at the house no later than 4:30 or so. So any time after that.

Lol, loli heart 2 and melty blood is where I stop. This Game has good sprite work, and all but it looks like nothing special. Hell, the only reason why I play melty blood is because I’m a huge tsukihime fan.
nvm we’ll just use Raven’s computer. Just get xpadder if you want it to work.
I’m up to play the game really. Its well made although some infinites are starting to be discovered. But hey that didnt stop people from playing all sorts of other games.
