so who all is coming tonight? I can probably make it around 7pm or so. i can bring 2 joysticks (1 Happ, 1 Sanwa) if necessary. They work on both consoles.
I only really wanna play SF4 cause that is the only fighter I play right now and have any skills at. Are you guys going to be into SF4 tonight or playing Blaz Blue (which i don’t really like) or any other games?
I’ll be bringing my Xbox 360 with SFIV and my Evo monitor. I should be there when they open at 3 until closing at 10. I’ll post on the forums to let people know I’m there. Wish I had my custom stick but you guys will be bringing a ton any ways.
BlazBlue won’t be happening tonight unless someone else besides Proto has a modded 360 and wants to bring it. If we have sticks I might show up after work but we’ll see.

I’m not playing Blazblue until it comes out next week so it really don’t matter to me. I’d like to see what the game looks like on an HD screen though. The animation is definitely a step up from Guilty Gear. Gonna be blowing people up with Bang. Now I got 2 ninja/spy characters that specialize in explosive weapons. Taokaka and Hakumen both look fun as well. Arakune’s probably difficult as balls to play but he looks cool too.
like i said I can bring 2 sticks, i won’t even play sf4 w/out a stick lol. dunno if some people will like my layouts though, especially the one on my sanwa because it’s pretty much 100% custon layout. the happ one is a sf:ac stick.
i will be home around like 6:15 or so then i gotta eat, then i can come. i live 1/2 a mile from X30 so i should be there by 7.
Yeah nobody should be worried about whether or not sticks are going to be there. There’s always sticks here like every day we come. When I get my custom stick back that’ll be 2 sticks I’ll be able to personally provide at all times. Plus the more people that find out about this place…the more sticks there will be. I could try talking to the staff in the future about buying some TE sticks or something like that but I don’t really feel that’s necessary when we always have equipment.

I have a feeling I’ll be using Tao.
That said, I’ve never played Blazblue, so I got a long way to go.
I think it’ll be a pretty easy switch if you played GG at all.
If you didn’t, well, you might be in for a wild ride. It’s nearly MAHVEL/MB speed.

Nah Blazblue is slower than Marvel. It’s even slower than Guilty Gear IMO. The developers even said they slowed the game a bit from GG to make it easier to get into (along with the 4 button setup, no FRC’s, etc.) Which is fine cuz I prefer games that aren’t super fast any ways. GG speed is like my tolerance level for speed in games. Once it gets to crack levels like Smash and Marvel I just zone out. Which is why I might as well learn Marvel. Need to stop zoning out in tournaments.
Oh and I’ll be there probably more like 4ish now. Gotta take my bro to work and the Evo screen hasn’t come in yet for me to test.
Lol, smash is slow as hell. Melee is way faster, and it doesn’t suck.
I think marvel is where I stop as well cuz its an eyeful. I don’t think Blazblue is that big of a difference speed wise, though. I just think it’s an easier game execution wise. For some reason 3s is the perfect speed for me even though it is somehow considered slow to some people.
Got my evo screen. Haven’t unpacked it yet. Might head down, not too sure
Nah way dude…Marvel breaks the sound barrier sometimes I swear. Blazblue has its fast moments but you can just eye the game and tell it’s still plenty of miles off from Marvel speed. 3S is slow until you learn to play it at high level. Then you realize there are a lot of times where you have to think super quickly. Like a majority of the EX moves in the game are ridiculously fast and force you to react pretty much immediately to them or you get hit. Ken’s air EX tatsumaki is a good example of something you can’t parry on reaction. You have to already know it’s coming and parry in advance or you get smacked.
