that aspect was apparently already considered for the event…which is why the stage portion of Club Relevant (in the back, not the front) is going to be used for some local bands to play…now…i’m not the promoter or anyone directly involved…but with a costume contest supposedly going along with all of the shenanigans…and the fact that the local scene is pretty slutty…
but yeah, if i had shit else to do, i’d be doing it.
oh…and i’m still supposed to be up in RVA tomorrow. my number is on the first page of the V6 thread if anything is going down.

If you’re gonna go out scoping for females, do it, but not at the tourney venue. Most of the dumb sluts X you off their list as soon as they see your stick (and not the fun one).
Having bands play while I’m trying to game sounds annoying.
I go to a tournament to play in a tournament. That’s it.
At the June tournament in Club Relevant DJK was putting the music on for us. Although it was pretty loud compared to in-game noise, I didn’t really have a complaint about it, not including the fact I enjoyed some of that music.
But you do bring up a good point when you can barely hear in-game noise that band and music in the background just doesn’t work casuals or not.
RVA?! I might be able to drive down to the Lucky’s tournament. I also expect to do some chillage post tournament, that is, if I can get enough of my school work done beforehand.
So who wants to go?

to reiterate…bands in the back, games in the front…i highly doubt that they could be loud enough to drown out the sounds of Storm getting her freak on in MvC2. also, you’re sitting right in front of a TV…turn the volume up. music coming from 3 very large rooms away is really not gonna compete with the noise in the game room in that place. final thought, if you are annoyed by the music being played, you aren’t capable of winning the tournament you’re competing in anyway…because you’re too scrubby to drown out noises/voices in your vicinity.
not gonna argue about my own lack of prowess, but i know better than to complain about noise at a video game tournament.

Real talk though, if SOVA comes out in force, that’s 50 people right there. Aside from Sinsation though, I’ve never been to a tourney with 100+ people, I’d be skeptical of it happening anywhere in VA actually.
Also, as much as I love Jamie (yes homo) I’m not feeling a Halloween tourney either…
I wish I could go to Lucky’s but Labor Day Weekend is too top tier.
Oh, and next time somebody hosts something in RVA can we get like, more than a 1 or 2 day notice? Contrary to popular belief, I do actually like to play fighting games…
