Hey renegade I saved your #, I’m in congruence with undiscovery (he’s in cali for two more weeks), but I have a good group of people willing to play and schedule a meet or host at my apt literally at the vcu campus. Hey guys. So apparently the proprietor of Play N Trade @ Shortpump threw a message to me about trying to get people to play there often, and hopefully getting tournaments set up but…I’m pretty sure his account got deleted or something cus I can’t find that post for the life of me anymore lol.
But yeah. @ Renegade: I still got your contact info from that PM you sent me. How was EVO 09’ this year? 1 hour of sleep in Vegas huh? I hope you weren’t too :looney: haha.
Anyways, Chris(suaC715) was the friend I was talking to you about. He’s pretty much done getting situated in his new place. Hopefully, Richmond is hungry enough to come to the sessions he will start hosting because I’m sure it will be held frequently, especially when the Fall semester hits.
Last I remember he had a 47’ TV setup. PS3, Xbox360, and Wii. It might seem a little basic for now, but we just want to break the ice and see how it goes. The best thing is definitely his location in relationship to campus. Easily within walking distance from the new Engineering building, making it highly accessible to students living on campus etc etc. I’m still out in Cali for my internship, but Norcal has really been treating me good, so I’m definitely gonna take home some West Coast exp. idk, like to get your input and see if you’d be interested in joining us. Just let us know.

Also re: Play N Trade @ Short Pump. A while back I went in there and talked to Matt, who if I’m not mistaken is the owner/manager of that Play N Trade and he does indeed want to get tourneys started. Also one of the employees, who’s name I don’t know plays there and has a pretty decent Sagat/Abel. I got Matt’s e-mail and actually told him I’d be willing to help him with tourneys and whatnot and even e-mailed him TIO Tournament Organizer, but he never e-mailed me back or contacted me. Either way, from what I hear there’s at least a small crowd they can draw who don’t post here, if we could somehow get this to happen we could improve the RVA scene IMO.
Only possible problem, Short Pump is not quite “close” to the VCU area, and even in my case it’s not exactly in my back yard, and for the Chester folk, it’s real far, although 288 does run pretty much directly into that place’s parking lot…
Yeah undiscovery told me about that yesterday, he’s still trying to figure out that play n trade as well. BTW I have talked to the manager at the play n trade in carytown, he’s also interested in starting up tournaments there as well. I forgot his name but if you give them a call they definately want to start something up there also. I do however live on campus now and do prefer the carytown location but west end isn’t bad at all.
