The people that were commenting on the stream were probably just my friends trying to take the piss out of me for losing to someone so outright terrible.

I’m going to assume this is Jinks. I saw this first thing when I woke up this morning but didn’t reply immediately because I was subbing at a high school today and couldn’t sit down and type my reply. Now that I’ve had some time to think about what to say, this goes out to everyone else that has a problem with me or who I might have offended since “no one likes me.”
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m far from perfect. I get easily excited and my passion for fighting games borders on obnoxious. I’ll also be the first to admit that I have a LONG way to go before I can lay claim to any bragging rights in the area. I can name at least 5 people off the top of my head better than me at KOF around here, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that number has grown since the last time I was up at Strange Matter. I have nothing but the utmost respect for everyone who comes out to these things, because as big as my passion is, it’s surpassed by a lot of people.
So if I’m doing crazy shit like poses or laughing about ridiculously random victories that shouldn’t have gone to me (like the one I had over you), don’t take that personally. That’s just my sense of humor, and when I tell you “good games” or shake your hand and say it’s a pleasure to meet you, I mean it because that’s the kind of person I am.
But I will never EVER say anything that questions who someone is as a person, like you just did by calling me “two-faced.” I don’t remember saying WINBACK has a big nose, and if I did, so what? I have a big nose, too, and last Saturday WINBACK and I talked to each other about Soul Calibur and we got along fine. We’re all adults, and if he had an issue with me, he would have pulled me aside and we would have talked about it like adults.
As passionate as we are about fighting games, please don’t forget that the key word is “game.” It’s OK to get upset or salty or whatever, because we’re human and it’s OK to get frustrated. What isn’t OK is stewing over it a week later and coming back with personal attacks. I don’t remember what you look like, but I saw a Benimaru that looked like the one you picked last week, so if you had this issue with me, you could have pulled me over and we could have talked about it.
I don’t know when I’ll see you again since I come to things like Ranbats and Cary St Cafe meetings on whims, but if you still have a problem with me by the time Civil War rolls around, you can spot me easily since I always wear an SFxT shirt to these things, and we’ll talk about it like grown men. Hell, I’ll just give you the $5 for the money match and concede to you, because I’ll admit that I got lucky. It’s just a game, and stuff like that is something to laugh about.

Has anyone in the ashland area gotten a tournament flyer regarding SFxT? I got one from the gamestop near VCC and am curious about it. Was wondering if anyone had any info on the venue.

Ya Im brand new to the area moved up from FL. Never really got into the scene where i stayed but getting into it now. Awesome man thanks for that. I never knew about Civil War def going to check it out. But the flyer I got was for some coffee shop on the 11th.

Just want to say what’s up. I’m an arcade fighting game fan in Richmond, va center commons area. have MK9 hooked up in a MK 2/3 cabinet. I also have good old SF 2 turbo in a candy cab and a Neo Geo but don’t play that much. I played SF4 for a while, just got AE but have yet to play it. I really like arcade controls so try to play any game I can with a fight stick. I recently picked up the sonic genesis collection which is great, so I have an easy way to play a bunch of old genesis games with a fightstick, it controls so much better than the junky genesis pad. I’m an avid super meat boy player, play that on fightstick too of course.
Also just want to throw out that I have some x360 fightsticks for trade/sell. I have an EX2 new in the box and 2 of the soul calibur 5 sticks pretty much new in the box, only used them for a half hour or so until I decided I like mad catz sticks better. swapped in octagonal gates into them but still have the squares. I’d trade for any x360 Mad catz TE stick.
