AE on the projector and MvC3 in a booth from 8-10. Then, whatever people want to play from 10-1:30 (probably MvC3, but, you never know)
Doesn’t seem like their phone no. Is currently working. Their website says they have a MvC3 tourney tommorow but I’'ve heard that the tournments have been moved to tuesdays as of last friday. I was thinking of driving up tommorow if nothing else is going on. Anyone know anything about this tourney and interested in going?
I thought they stopped doing Friday tourneys due to poor turnout. I think it’s just Tuesdays but you should contact one of them to confirm.
Yeah… just confirmed it with Matty P that thier website info is incorrect. MvC3 and AE is on Tuesdays around 6 now. Ratz.
Just watched that 3S feature list video and I have to say…this is by far the most complete fighting game in terms of content ever. The fact that they added a Evo Moment #37 trial just blows my mind! This is probably the most hype I’ve been for a fighting game yet. Forget about the naysayers lol.

so many games now…so little time…im messing with yang and cody in AE…cody doesnt do too bad against the twins…its a matter of who knocks who down first…yang is fun…i just dont know dick about the character yet…and ill play 3rd strike for funsises…seeing that im terrible at the game…

Cody was the character I originally wanted to main in super and cr. Short getting buffed to a 3 frame move AE is definately nice. I just hate his walkspeed so much so I ended up using Chun in super.
I actually don’t think the Chun vs. Yun matchup is as bad as Yang with her because Yuns reversal isn’t as good. And its still niether is as bad as rufus who’s jesus kick hasn’t been toned down at all besides a damage nerf.
Anything going on tonight fighting game wise? I’m Loving me some AE.
I’m down to start them back up when ever but I think it’s going to be after evo but it’s really up to Robin. Also I don’t think we will be able to play both games at the Ranbats unless we start to do double elim brackets.
I’m up for Double Elimination. I think it will make for more useful tournament practice.
The main concern I guess is that ppl who are new to the scene might be discouraged that they only get to play 2 games for $5. Maybe we could do a single $5 entry for both games? Though that does sort of cheat the players who have put in the time and practice to play at the level required to win in terms of the prize pool being split.
That’s why we have casuals at Strange Matter, Cary St Cafe, and other people’s spots to get plenty of games in. Entering a ranbats or a tournament, that’s how the cookie crumbles. You put money in, you might lose. New players know that.

and just an update my yang is still ass…
yea i am liking cody just as much as i did in super…his walk speed doesnt bother me so much…but some of his match up arent as bad anymore…rufus still sucks and gief isnt as bad anymore because of ex hand not knocking down…but T-Hawk…that match sucks…and i found that out the hard way yesterday…
