Hey everyone. I dont know if you are gonna congratulate me or curse me but as of yesterday I am officially employed finnaly. However my new job will require me to work EVERY Saturday and Sunday 8pm-4am. While i almost turned the job down because of this, i can no longer afford to stay out of work and as such had to take it.
What this means is that I can no longer host the Saturday/Sunday gatherings. Nor can i go to them if they are on a Saturday/Sunday. I am glad that i was able to help the community for a little while and I hope Paul will reconsider and start back up again. But for the time being RI/SE Mass gatherings are done =(.
I encourage everyone who came out here to try GU or SuporBowl or both! They are great guys and I know you will get along with them if you havent been there already. Its sad to see it end like this but I cant pay my bills without a job.
Thankyou all who came out and made the gatherings a success! And hopefully when Im at this job long enough to change my hours I will be able to start this back up, but it will be a while.

So is there a new venue in RI? I haven’t been to any gatherings yet, but I’ll probably start going to GU once they start doing Tuesdays again. I’m currently playing MK and SF4, but I dabble in MVC3 and mostly anything else. Send me a PM if anyone’s got a current location.

So… Anything happening around RI lately? Just finally joined this site and I’m looking to play with some people. I wouldn’t mind traveling. Unfortunately my house is small and I live with the mom so I can’t host, unless it’s just 1 or 2 people. 
I’ve been playing lots of MVC3 (ps3, will have 2 te sticks by the end of the week) but I used to be good at SSF4, and gdlk at KOFXI if anyone plays that anymore lol. Anyway, either facebook me ( facebook.com/mjhakanson ) pm, or reply! Lets get some training sessions in if ever a tournament rolls around here!

Me too. I’ve been asking around to see if I can find a location, but haven’t found one yet. I got a friend with a mechanic’s garage who might be swayed into letting me use that lol.
I just started a new job too. So I’ll start having every Saturday AND Sunday off! I’ll see what I can do if anything, I do have a garage which is not as luxurious as Matt’s crib but it does have power outlets tables and chairs, which is all you need right?

So if you need your fix this weekend I encourage everyone to make the trek out to NH and get some exposure, but how does everyone feel about starting it up again in my garage 6/18? I got 1 ps3 / 1 360 and NO AE atm… So setups would be nice.
I don’t think theres anything going on in NH this weekend. My Tournament at the SOuper bowl is on though! and the NH tournament was postponed from the 18th to a later date (maybe the 25th)
