Well yeah, Chris is probably keeping tabs with her, but that doesn’t really change what she’d do. As long as Chris doesn’t go missing…again (and by missing I mean forgetting to actually call Claire and tell her what’s up) she probably won’t be doing much for the rest of the series.
Leon works for the president, a position he was pretty much forced into after RE2…its because he survived raccon city he had knowledge…now that the president is dead the world is going to shit…Chris went from being an agent of the BSAA to a commander of his own unit…thats one hell of a promotion
when it comes to who out does who there is no question…Leon has the slight advantage…he survived a cult village solo but Ada did save his life so maybe thats why he is pussy whooped to her…Chris doesnt know who the hell ada is but knows that bitch has got to die (yes I know it might be the clone carla but whatever)…

Leon was forced into the position (something you can blatantly tell he still has a problem with in Damnation), but ultimately became good friends with the President so I don’t think it mattered too much. But in any case, in BOW knowledge he seems to have Chris slightly beat. Experience, it’s a tie as of now actually (Chris has RE1, CV, 5 and…sorry, forgot the 3DS game’s name) (Leon has 2, 4, Degeneration, Damnation) unless you want to count that abomination Gaiden, however Leon had to work a LOT more alone/with dead weight for the most part.
Rank wise, I think Leon actually outranks Chris…it really depends on how exactly they categorize his position, but he does seem to be the highest ranking officer in accordance to BOWs. If nothing else they seem to respect Leon’s ability with BOW’s a slight bit more than Chris as seen in Damnation where they freaking pulled him from his damn vacation just to get his ass to ground zero whereas Chris (and for that matter most of the BSAA which…you know, made it way too damn easy for Ada to get in) was nowhere in sight.
Canon wise Degeneration happens a year after RE4. I’m not sure what she’s a rescuer of myself but someone gotta comfort the little girl who saw her mom turn and ate her father in front of her.

Yea Leon outranks Chris no question but thats only because he lucked up in the RC outbreak. After bringing Ashley home which was MOSTLY THANKS TO LUIS AND ADA it was a no brainer that he become national security, his resume built itself. But who would you rather have in the fields dealing with bow threats? Leons experience pre RE6 with advanced BOW ie: not g-virus was resident evil 4 mind you they had already evolved tremendously by re 5 with a semi mature form of the plagas which is 100 percent fatal by removal of the parasite. Leon has lucked up so many times it makes no sense. In that regard Chris is just so much better than Leon.
Lets not mistake ourselves, Chris isnt some talentless moron brute.

Okay, first who the fuck is Carla? Are you talking about Claire…you know, Claire Redfield aka Chris’s sister? Because none of us mentioned any Carla.
And how you gonna knock fucking Leon for help when Chris has had actual competent help each time himself. And I don’t think he’s a moronic brute but let’s be honest, Chris hasn’t had to think too much on his missions (unless we’re counting puzzles). His shit has been straightforward for the most part. RE1, save Alpha Squad (or…whatever the squad was called, I don’t remember…fuck it, just Rebecca) and escape. Wesker hadn’t started pulling his real gambits yet and Jill was the one that had to deal with the Barry situation. RE:CV, save Claire and escape. Claire was the one that had to deal with Steve and actually learning about the Ashford legacy. RE5…take down Wesker. And through it all, Chris never had to deal with double crosses, escort missions and a true hierarchy of bullshit. And hey, do not forget the REASON Chris was so prepared for the matured Plaga bullshit was because Leon made a report detailing the early versions of the Plaga. Chris hasn’t had to deal with too much mindfuckery other than Wesker brainwashing Jill. Leon’s had Ada fucking with him, watching for Sherry and Ashley’s safety, he’s been infected by a Plaga, and he’s had villain hierarchies that just won’t fucking end. Chris, he only had one goal since RE1. Take down Wesker. Leon doesn’t even know who the tippity top of his problems is.
A few posts above someone mentioned carla who i thought was helenas sister. Unless someone deleted the posts i tried to speed over the post when i saw it. Theres been a rumor for months that Ada is a clone. Im just saying keep that stuff to a minimum.
Leon has had his ass saved so many times i cant just give him the credit. He wouldnt have survived RE4 had it not been for Ada TWICE and Luis provided him the info for the plagas release laser machine.
You can argue that Chris had help but Sheva didnt do much anyhow, and RE5 had more threats than RE4.

Yea, people forgetting Chris has always had backup and Jill saved his ass on more than one occasion, just like Ada saves Leon. In terms of taking down B.O.Ws, Leon has dealt with way more bullshit than Chris.

Chris’ biggest thing is Wesker, and even then he had to use a vial of the same ninja aids that killed Itachi to take him down. Jill still ended up* saving his ass* in the end.
Chris isn’t a slouch, but his resume doesn’t even begin to outclass Leon’s. If not for the BSAA Claire’s would be greater.
Chris would not have survived RE5 were it not for the brave and selfless sacrifices made by the men and women of the BSAA

Edit: I’ve got a bias towards Leon because I played RE4 before any RE with Chris as a playable person (sans Umbrella Chronicles). But even despite that, Chris seems so…boring to me.
It’s old and most of it is stuff a lot of us already know but some nice tidbits of info in here. The most interesting thing learned is about the Javo mutations and that they are actually based on damage on a part, unlike in the other games where it sometimes seem like a certain spot must have a certain amount of plagas heads. The enemy can also have multiple mutated limbs depending on how much damage you inflict on various parts.
