You’ll save money right now, yes, but in the future that person you let go will go somewhere else and bring that productivity there. You can try squeezing out more from the people there but there’s a limit to that.
This is what I am mystified by in today’s political debates, both sides have valid points that need to be put into action but they can only see their side of the issue.
And it sucks to say this, but one side’s ideas on a fix appear to be a lot more important than the other, most of the time. you misunderstand. Since Clinton around 95, the rhetoric has been sharper and more aggressive. It’s been molded into that specifically to take advantage of winning elections. With years of political mud slinging from both sides the smallest issues are going to be the biggest issues because they have been made into personal ones. There was an study done by some institution and brought to light by NPR the last election cycle, and essentially people in general can only remember the topic of conversation for around 30 seconds. It’s not a coincidence that politicians beat around the bush for around 30 seconds and then start rambling about god know what for the next 45 seconds.
I can still remember getting furious over the fact that these people where asked questions and they would never answer the questions. but there was such a loud fucking cheer for the response as if it resonated with people. When in fact all it did was harp on nostalgia, familiarity, and vague but easily identifiable issues that happen to be talked about on a daily basis.
Now maybe this is done with malice, or ther’s the slight chance that maybe (LOFL loud it’s done by malice) it’s designed like this to make it “easier” to digest. So people naturally get hung up on the smallest issues becuase of how personal it gets.
And this isn’t just an American problem, it’s a people problem anywhere in the world. Canada does it, the UK does, i’m sure every single government does it.
And I hope you don’t mean the democrat solutions, because the democrat solution won’t fix shit. It would make things worse
Outside of a third party, I think the House would benefit from being represented by the vote rather than winner take all. Think of EU countries. It may force parties to work together and get shit done instead of this no compromising bullshit.

I get that BLM is important to a lot of people but everyone has different priorities in life. There’s more than one issue on the table when you’re president and he cannot afford to focus on one issue. No presidential candidate can.

I could not agree more. I always thought this was a major card among politicians that works well to keep a large segment of our population uninformed.
A prime example being, immigration. One contingent wants to strengthen the borders, the other want’s to do something about all the illegals who are already here. Sorry to say, but this administration is breaking records on deporting and catching illegals. In fact, illegal immigration has fallen every year since 2009, the border is stronger than it’s ever been. This is America, people are going to find a way in, just like people are going to break out of prison, it’s going to happen. Obviously finding a solution for those who manage to make it is the real issue…you know…since they are here.
They intentionally pit Americans against each other on issues, meanwhile the problem grows and they make and raise more money from it while the public is fighting. It doesn’t help that the media always frames the issue as if both sides are always right. No, sometimes there’s only 1 path to truth.

What used to be called turn-arounds (when they tell illegals to go the hell back home at the border when they get caught before they enter) are now being called deportations. Same with arrests, and detainments. They simply changed the language…something liberals are notorious for. If anything, ICE and other immigration control services are being handcuffed by this administration, and are severely demoralized, because they care about their job and are being told to NOT perform it. Under this administrations, we’re seeing record illegal entry (thanks to promises by said administration to people “living in the shadows”), and the lowest actual deportation since the 1970’s. Out of 1 - 1 1/2 million illegals with deportation orders, only around 2% actually get deported, with over half returning. The rest are held, then released with orders for court appearances…and they never show.

Just cuz people will always get through, doesn’t mean we can’t strengthen the borders more. We can do that, but we agree, that’s not the most important issue, not even close.
