You know, CBK… I just realized, we only have one machine. Even if we only have like 8 ~ 16 entries, it’d really take too long to throw a tournament for it. :c
Two day tournament and since you not fighting for consoles you might just get to do it in two days…so you really could do it just make sure matches get done .
I might actually play again for this at least HDR. Dont miind getting my ass kicked as long as the Reno players win every event.
I know 3v3 teams sounds tempting cause Fuddruckers and co just did it but would it really fit in a tournament here, or would it be better to keep SF4 just to singles?
The thing is were doing 3v3 because it will bring more people to the event, and since were doing a singles anyways there is no reason not to have a 3v3.
New tournament news so make sure you check it out!!!
Interesting. Are you guys going to use Tonamento? I think you should! Being able to view brackets/results/events at one easy-to-navigate page (it’s searchable for god’s sake - that’s nuts) is awesome. I used it myself for a tournament today and will continue to do so. Adding players gets kind of tedious, but March 21 is a bit far off - perhaps damdai will introduce new features/changes as time goes by.
Anyway, I may come to this. $20 bucks seems a bit steep for the singles entry fee, so I’ll think about it
Edit - Could you add the entry fee breakdown for each game?
Editedit - Wow, I need to learn how to read. That’s pretty attractive, but how are you going to handle room packages for people that are going to split? Eg, 5 people splitting a $250 package - how exactly does that work entrywise? Seems a bit confusing o_o… could you please clarify?
+2 Interest. Maybe will come down here with a couple of friends.
well the room packages would split by five one person would play the total but the other people you share the room with would just put in the split money to the person that payed it.
Let me rephrase my question - the room packages include entry fees to the tournaments, right? Do you get a discount off the entry fees if you purchase the room package vs not purchasing a room package and solely paying the entry fees?
Basically, because of the entry fee inclusion, the room packages seem to assume one person is paying for and staying in the room. Maybe you shouldn’t include the entry fees in the room package, because I can see it getting messy and confusing for the people splitting the cost of the room and the people handling registrations - just make entry fees completely seperate.
Well to tell you the truth the rooms are already discounted and will be separate from the entry’s, but there will come a discount on the entry if you get a room for one person, A discount will also come with if you bring equipment. So if you break up the room the discount in the room will be good already, and for the person that pays for the room will get a discount on two tournaments. But once everything is down in stone, I’ll post it up.
Ok, that makes more sense. Thanks for the clarification.
So is this a definite at the Atlantis on 3/20 and 3/21? I want to put the info up on sf4answers.
Okay so everything will be done as far as tournament, rooms, and hopefully the pre-registration site will be ready for you all to pre-register. So please keep up to date and please tell me if your coming so that I can start getting a head count. Please Casino is definately matching all the pots of all the tournaments up to 250 and giving huge discounts on rooms. So please start the head count!
Please lets hope to get some big names going to this soon.;p
Holy wow, the casino will be matching the pots?!
Right now it’s looking like up to 250$ per game, and if we get the third and fourth sponsors maybe up to 750$ per tournament, yeah we know how to do it right here in Reno.XD
U guys streaming this right?
oh yeah!!! We totally wish we could use the services of Iplaywinner but alas at this time we don’t have the capability to do so, so we will be doing it ourselves and we will make sure it’s up.
great thats fanstastic, i actually live near atlantis
