I got respect for Ivan, he can beat me consistently now, but man, he was sure pounding the buttons. Dunno how he does it, but it proves button mashing can be an effective way to win matches.
i think you mean his technique of “the harder i hit them, the more damage they’ll do!” like fuck man, you should see him during a chipp super (the 26 hitter)… guy starts playing iidx or some shit on the buttons.
Ivan is really sharp and consistent with his execution. His Raphael is more complicated than anybody elses, using the prep stance stuff. Thats not really button mashing.

First of all if the machine was ivan’s girlfriend he woulda hella get charged with domestic abuse and shit. Ivan’s best character is not raph, his raph prep shit is easy to beat if you throw whore, and he knows that. I cant beat his maxi, it owns me for free because of his guard impacting. Unlike, rob, nick s, and other players, guard impact messesup my game so much. I need to learn how to adjust. Ivan’sstylof play is just the perfect counter to my style and i cant touch him. However i will learn. And on another not i am officially (maybe) done with ivy and i wont be playing her anymore. Expect a new character to be comming atchya next time we play. Everyone has their problems, Ivan is mine. My style of play goes very well against rob’s style. I dont know why, but i generally win, however Rob is a much better overall player than me, he can hella adjust to shit; shit that just blows my mind.
On another note im learning CvS2! woot? i suck hardcore but that doesnt really matter:D Im gonna get better no doubt. Ive given up in GGXX, im so tired of that crap, if i dont get enough practice im gonna suck, hmmmm kinda like i do now. Anywayz. I will now be entering that game all the time. Thats retarded. Ivan refuses to actually progress his gameplay, and instead he sticks with “what works” like trying to guard impact EVERY. FREAKING. MOVE. That isn’t skill, that’s timing, and I’m not impressed. Rob and I have already found a way to counter that shit, and he falls for it. EVERY. FREAKING. TIME. On top of that, he disses everyones ELSES gameplay, even though I have only ever lost to him twice. Ever. Yet he always has a chance to try and tell me what I should be doing, ETC. ETC. Hey, does anyone wanna buy a Joystick? I’ve got a Japanese stick for PS2. I’ll have to go home and check the box to be sure on all the details. I think it’s a Hori. CVS2 stick. Super short throw. Mint condition. $50. Can deliver to Atlantis. Robin has had a similar stick to this in the past (I think he had the CVS1 version) so if he still has it you might be able to try that one out for a test drive. To buy the same thing new would be like $70 by the time you include shipping costs.
