Remora Official Thread - RGB LED control for MadCatz FightSticks

edited and added digikey links

Iā€™m having the same problem that Titan_X was having (the whole lock switch not working) but I donā€™t really understand your description of ā€œyou are to cut trace between the two padsā€

Sorry Iā€™m a noob modder. I have the two ribbons plugged into the TE-S connections and I see the <TES_EN that youā€™re talking about, but I donā€™t know what you mean by ā€œcut trace between the two pads.ā€ Do I have to solder something?

Edit

Nevermind. Figured it out. Trace has been cut and the start/back/lock-switch/LEDā€™s work as intended :3. Thanks for the tip!

Would someone post the method to connect to PS360+ with those components mentioned in previous posts?

Its simply a matter of putting wires from the 6 pin JST headers from remora to the screw terminals of PS360+, and one line for power between the screw terminal of remora and screw terminal of ps360+.

Check out the diagrams in post #3 of the arceye3 thread.

Do I still have to buy above parts to make it easier installation?

No. Just two 6 pin JST cables and one wire for power between screw terminals. Theres a link to where to buy JST cables in post #1 of arceye3 thread.

Can I use this for Seimitsu screw in buttons as well?

no, the arceye3ā€™s donā€™t fit around the switch

for that you want

Do I need to cut this trace also for VS stick install?

I believe the VS has kill ground and uses the TE-S 6 pin headers. So yes.
See 3rd post of arceye3 thread for diagrams.

I really like this product, hereā€™s what it looks like in a TEK case.

Anyone got any ideas on neatly mounting and wiring the remora?

Zip ties and zip tie anchors are your friend. You can get them cheap from monoprice.com

Finally got around to this! Will also post in Arc Eye 3 thread

nice work. try not to double post through

still, it would be nice to see this projects software (not hardware) have a proper interface!
through the magic power of crowdsourcing and releasing the code for the public to consume, extend, and reuse.

Is their no diagram up yet of what order the harnesses are in for plugging into a Cthulhu? Trying to follow the back but my lack of knowledge into PCB electronics has me stumped!

If youā€™re talking about Remora to Cthulhu, thereā€™s a diagram purplearns posted on the first page of the ArcEye3 thread (post #3 I think).

Ah, thanks. No idea how I missed that post!

A remora for Hitbox style would be beautifulā€¦ especially if the effects rippled through all the buttonsā€¦

Are there any alternative methods that will allow me to reverse the changes if I wanted to go back to a regular TE and not a Type S stick later?
