I would have to down tone my team to even make it interesting. How about getting your actual “best” to make it fair. Bill/Potter/Cumbo/clock/y2j or wes could fill the last spot. Now thats an event. My team vs. that pathetic excuse for a top player list up there is just rape. If you don’t believe me…BET IT.
So, I was thinking about it, and I think (aside from console), regency would be the best place to hold it. The logic behind this is, most of the super arcade players have at least some experience on american sticks, while i doubt very few from regency have experience on japanese sticks. However, if the sticks aren’t suitable for the super arcade players, you guys don’t have to go through with it. Console is the fairest for this to take place, but the hardest part is finding a neutral place big enough for this event.
What do you guys think about that ontario tournament? I don’t know if regency heads are going, but i’ll try and get the word out.
this is a great idea, i know and played some of super arcade’s players, but i never got a chance to play regency besides irwin (some iron man player)…
i hear regency rob is gdlk and i would love to see these arcades duke it out…
as for ffa, i would be willing to drive the ffa players from ffa to wherever if needed, because i was not willing to travel last year, but i’m willing to drive and give rides this year. like next month when me, finesse ,illan are going to central cal to play with cencal and norcal.

The thing is Finesse the excuse that FFA does not travel is just their cop out. They are not going to call us out on any arcade because they know a beatdown is coming…that simple.

No one is questioning ffa’s ability. We know that finesse is the truth (I’ve been telling everybody about him for like a year and half). Illan has also proven himself time and time again, especially with all the rape he gave out at evo. But you can’t deny that what I said is true: ffa does not travel. I’m not even trying to hate. I haven’t seen mmds at an arcade (outside of ffa) since shgl. Fanatiq went to cal poly(various times). Finesse went to psm a few times. Aside from that…? I mean, if ffa is willing to travel, I guess they can be included. However, trying to force yourselves in isn’t really the best approach. I might as well throw in san diego too. But thats a 2 hour drive for them, and it seems like ffa is a 2 hour drive x_x. Honestly, I didn’t really expect this idea to have as much support as it did, it was more of a theory/fantasy type event, with two arcades that are local and a reasonable driving distance from eachother. Again, don’t take this as if we dont’ want you to travel to our tournaments/events or you’re not invited; we just don’t really expect you to show based on previous occurrences. Like guy said, if hes willing to carpool with you dudes, you should come out to regency more often and peep the competition. You’ll be surprised at all the underground beasts so cal has. 
Moving foward, it seems practical to do this at regency, especially since most of their players only go there and don’t really know about srk/evo. I highly recommend a healthy amount of casual though because it’s a bit different. If not, that ontario tournament seems like a good place to make this happen. I’m not good at organizing these types of things, but I would love to see it go down.
In the near future, an arcade/area battle could go down too. That would be sick. FFA deserves a shot at both squads, but the players have to actually BE from that arcade. A round robin type thing can be made of this, like 1v1v1. Most wins, wins. It could get messy, but I think one team will pull out undefeated 
Disclaimer: If you still don’t understand what I am posting, THESE ARE JUST THOUGHTS. Nothing is set in stone, except the regency vs. super, which is in the works.
P.S. It seems like the super players are pretty organized, and if they are willing to do it at regency, then it would be most helpful if a regency player can call the potential players and assemble them one day at regency. I don’ thave anyone’s numbers, so I can’t do it. But it doesn’t seem too hard to get everyon there one night. I’ve seen about the whole team regency more than 3-5times all there at the same time.

well put, as i said before i will offer the carpool if ffa has problems with travel, i just enjoy good games and good players, i’m down to see beasts like deus, fanatiq, finesse, dpc, potter, clockw0rk, illan, regency rob, and maybe some underdogs like me, some of the JRs from ffa, paul from ucla who has been playing with us, and some of this underground/unheard of talent that will hopefully step up and go to this event
