content that i already PURCHASED…stop trying to justify their actions, it’s shitty business practice, consumers and pirates alike are smarter than that, Capcom is preying on the people like you who simply don’t know any better, or don’t have the balls to take a stand.

You didn’t purchase that content though, at all. You are simply claiming that because you own the disc, you somehow have the rights to any and all data on said disc. And that isn’t true.

that doesnt fit the scenario in any way shape or form.

its not illegal to make one back up copy of your music first of all.

second of all its not redistributing the characters files to the whole world its showing that they exist to the world, and showing something thats on the game already that they too could access if they had purchased the game and used the same or another method to unlock it earlier than intended. there is nothing illegal about that at all.

you clearly dont understand how copyright law works.

you could upload a video of yourself listening to the music and its perfectly legal. lol the logic behind your entire post is just fail and doesnt even relate to the scenario, in fact people have been using the same method to protect their videos from being muted just with different words.

back to square one.

Yeah I downloaded a Photoshop trial, hacked it and got my full copy of Photoshop, sure am glad you guys agree with me. Think this thread’ll hold up as legal evidence that I’m in the right? Wanna show it to the judge, cheers.

last time i checked a Photoshop TRIAL version is FREE to TRY, no purchase involved, therefore there is no debate…that would certainly be illegal because you never purchased anything in the first place, nice attempt though.

If I’m not mistaken isn’t there already a thread that is debating the shit out of this same topic?

No it’s not, but it is illegal to upload it to youtube. Cleared up? Cool.

What I’m talking about has nothing to do with DLC. Technically speaking, us uploading any videos of the the game at all is on iffy legal grounds. If Capcom for some reason or other wants to take down my combo video made of my unhacked, vanilla SFxT game, they do have the rights to do that.

Using methods like repitching the audio, reversing the image, etc. to “protect” the video from being taken down is not a form of legal protection, it’s a method of avoiding detection by the automated system. Again, don’t assume that just because you’re getting away with it makes it legal.

Nice try Capcom… Nice try.

this thread isnt intended for the debate of the topic, in fact the only part that is important is that the quotes in the OP will make it so your hacked videos cant be removed.

eulas dont mean shit, they have no legal bind, its why soul calibur 3 had a million color/texure hacks. next time maybe capcom wont make the mistake of putting DLC on disc.

***All of this talk about shit being legal or illegal still dont change the fact that its greedy as fuck how they want 20 more bucks…:coffee: ***

^ thank you.

the shitty name is a dead give away that its a capcop LOL even more proof people should do this shit to their videos ASAP and start posting how to’s and such in other places.

I think this all roots back to SOPA and PIPA to a extent…if you look at the bigger picture. however out the scope of those two, the debate whether or not tampering with the contents of a purchased piece of content is illegal or not…well…

watch all 3 parts to get a better understanding on what your talking about before saying Pirating is legal…

This… I agree with. Fuck Capcom.

So by MFGK’s logic i can upload anything i payed for to youtube say what he said to and they can’t remove it, that’s what he is saying right?

I’m going to go ahead request mods to close this thread on the grounds that MFGK is trolling all of us very successfully, and I want to hide my embarrassment for falling for it ASAP.

i never said it was. but you said no copying period.

no they dont. they just flat out dont. you can do this : “Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.” to protect yourself. that… might even apply to these videos itself tbh.

the video is to educate that characters exist, and this is how you use them or do their trial all 100% fair game to upload to yt capcom cant do shit about it.

EDIT: fixed OP. theres no arguing with that copyright disclaimer section.

Damn, everyone is a lawyer today…

Thought I was the only business major here…
