Lets do some pre reg so we get a feel who is coming for what game AND I can know how many sticks I might possibly have to buy for winners…
Sounds like an opinion to me. I also know you play stick and rather its PS3 or 360 shouldnt matter to stick players but that is what i think. A pad player has more trouble however and learning a stick in 2 months wont happen. The Tourney organizer answered my question however and i am fully aware of the big names only on the 360 and will probably still go but will fail on pad with no fighting chance.
I looked into it and decided just try on pad. I cant afford stick and adapters are too inconsistant thanks for the info though, really helpful.

Will: I see you live in Fairfax. I hate SFIV, and fully consider the game to be ass, but if you wanna come chill at my place anytime before the tourney, we can play and get you used to a xbox pad (or god forbid… a joystick) if you think the practice would help/make it more fun once you get to the tourney. Also what iNerd is saying DOES sound like an opinion, and he didn’t back it up at all, but there are gameplay differences in the xbox360 and Playstation3 versions of SFIV. He’s not just mentioning the controller as an issue. I can understand how it would look like he’s just spouting bullshit to be argumentative.
Oh and Matt: Cat5 is so gdlk. Especially when I wire up to the a-h and 1-11 or whatever rows… I use solids on the letters, and stripes on the numbers, and alternate in a consistant pattern like GOUBGOUB and it’s so quick and painless to troubleshoot, and follow connections. There’s no subsitiute. It’s like… commented code!

Definitely interested in joining in on the SF4 fun. It’s still quite a ways off and I’ll need to practice to get up to speed, but consider me very interested. I’m in the Tysons area.

BTW, I’m very interested in that dual-modding. Too many tourneys use PS3…

I just tried out using cat5 cable yesterday at a NC tournament. You are right, this stuff is the best. I’m loving that it has 8 wires which means I only need to cut 2 lengths instead of 4 lengths of usb cord. Plus there’s no ground shielding or cloth wrapped inside making it easier and faster to strip. The wires bend like as if they were solid core, but are indeed stranded core.
soooo recap. I get shit done faster, easier, and cleaner.

Yeah man cat5 is the best. I usually strip off the outer plastic layer, but I noticed you liked it on the usb cables and stuff, so it’s nice that it gives you the option. You should see what i did to my stick last night, did a rj45 mod, and everything, the wiring’s so nice looking!
I’ll have to ask. I doubt anyone will though. Like big asian said, you know SoVa very well.

Just wanted to chime in again and say that I’m committed to coming out (unless some emergency happens haha…I am in the middle of wedding planning, after all, which is personal hell…). I’m DEFINITELY going to get run over with my poor Guile, but I gotta get my feet wet sooner or later haha. Besides, I don’t have an ego to damage. 
Just doing it for fun.
BTW, I won’t be need dual modding anymore. Decided to mod a Mayflash for any possible PS3 tourneys in the future, and will continue using my TE for 360/PC.
