Sloppy parries shorten your input time, that’s for sure. I’m not sure how they affect you otherwise, but I do know this: in CvS2, sloppy-parrying the first hit of certain rush supers (eg. Kim, Ryo, Morrigan) will make you unable to block the rest.
Do sloppy parries look different from regular blue? Once in a while, I’ll see parries where the character doesn’t flash blue. (No, not red parry. Just doesn’t change color at all.) I’ve seen it in videos too.
Jive Out!
No, they look the same. On videos you sometimes see them not flash blue (or red) because the camera or capture card’s refresh rate keeps them from capturing every single frame of the game. It’s even more noticeable during Yun’s Genei Jin; sometimes you don’t see any shadows at all and sometimes you see the shadows but they’re opaque instead of transparent.
A sloppy parry is when you tap forward (or down) suddenly, but do not return the stick to neutral posistion.
Alright, in the idea of science.
So lets say necros qcf+fp hits me for all three while im blocking.
In order to red parry the LAST hit of the combo, do i have to be in block stun for that LAST hit, in order to red parry the LAST hit?
Or do i move to neutrual on the SECOND hit and red parry the THIRD hit when it comes?
